Mr. White - we're always looking for smart and driven individuals, and I believe you tick those boxes very well. But take care not to lord your "private education" over anyone else here, my friend, I will not have it. Sorry that I have start off on this foot, but I've had many a manager lose their cool with how things are done on Pittsburg. Your new ways will be welcome, but be prepared to change as well. You might learn a thing or two from our older foremen here, and I'm sure you'll get along just fine after a cool Liberty Ale.

Mr. Hyrax - I think you'll find my version of DSE just the right ticket for a "salty sailor" like yourself. Your de-escalation skills will be very useful for many of our projects, where we really have to steer small not to get our crap blown up. But there's no shame in going back to school while you're out there hauling goods. Take one of our booster courses, and see what you can pick up - you may be surprised at how practical all the theoreticals become when we're talking safety and efficiency.

I'll welcome you both at the orientation next week, and I believe we'll have a lot of work to do from then on.
