Heartbreaking to hear, a hero in his own right. He will be missed, by many I am sure...
You have my condolences, I can only imagine the difficulty you are going through right now... Rest in peace my friend, even if our interactions were short, they will be fondly remembered...
I didn't really know Connor, but my brief interactions with him showed him to be possessed of the best of intentions and revealed him as a wealth of knowledge into many things I had no idea about regarding this game and community. Even were it not for his service to the cause of freedom, we and those who knew him would be far worse off for his loss.
Thank you for posting this, Jerry. I can't imagine how you and your family are feeling right now. I hope you take some solace in the knowledge that not only did he die a hero, but that he was loved by those he spent his time with.
Connor and I didn't always see eye to eye on everything.
When he returned and we made him a GM, I honestly feared we were going to lock horns a lot.
That's not what happened.
We were running impromptu events together every couple of weeks. One in Thuringia where we spawned a bunch of squid NPCs stands out in my mind. His priority, which I valued over any other, was making sure people had fun. I grew to respect him greatly, called him a friend. And then I, for my own health, cut contact with almost everyone I knew here.
And now he's gone.
I'm grateful that this was brought to my attention, even if it nearly made me lose my lunch.
I'm sorry we never got to know each other better. I'm sorry I didn't stay in touch. You died a hero's death, and I will not forget you.
He is the man I learned Discovery from - in my first faction the [R], who taught me how to roleplay and he always had this fun creative side about him - he was a friendly and approachable guy, always willing to help and stand up for others - which lead to his passing. His family should be proud for raising a great man who gave his life for others!

You know, I've had plenty of heartbreaking gains in my life, but this one stings something new.
I know that when duty calls, you answer. I know that Connor had the strongest sense of honor and justice in K'Hara. The news is terrible, but not surprising, and neither is hearing that he went down protecting the life of another. That's what he went over to do the first time.
A better man than I once told me "to fall on the battlefield is to rise above it". Rest easy up there, cousin, and watch over us if you would. May your absence guide us just as much as your presence has.
I'll do something about my superiority complex when I cease to be superior.

My name is Jerry, or Agent 66, and I am Connor's father. I'm not really sure how to make this post but he wanted me to let you guys know if anything happened. I never thought I'd be writing this but here I am and this is incredibly difficult.
Two months ago Connor went back to Ukraine but this time was different. He wasn't there just to provide medical support but he went to actually fight. Connor joined a group of Foreign Legion who had English, American and Canadians in it where they were actively taking combat missions.
On the 15th of November I was informed that we lost Connor to the war. I don't want to share too much as it's quite personal but his squad was tasked to take a captured Ukrainian trench and bring it back under their control. He lost his life saving one of his fellow fighters dragging them to safety who because of Connor lived.
I don't really have much else to say but he wanted me to let people here know if anything was to happen to him. Discovery must have meant a lot to him.
Before Connor left he and his partner decided to get married. He also has a son on the way as well.
He's left us behind and has gone to a better place. I hope his efforts are not in vein. He will be missed by all of us at home who love him dearly.
Thank you all.
He left a small message for you guys which I would like to share.
Hi all. This is going to sound a bit cliche but if you're reading this I didn't make it home. I've left 3 of these. One for you guys, my wife and my future kid and my parents.
I haven't told anyone apart from my family but I'm going back to fight. It was a very hard decision to do especially with whom in leaving behind. Some might call it selfish but my family understood.
I have joined the Foreign Legion and will be heading back out to Ukraine tonight. I just want to say thank you to everyone for my time here.
Scourge, Thomas, Loki, Light, Dimi, Alley, Godslayer, Geoff, Saronsen, St Denis, Cori, Jammi, Prophet, Jazzi and many more. I'm writing this in a rush. You guys have all been amazing friends to me here in my time playing Discovery. Thank you guys for everything.
And yes, Godslayer you can have the Nergal. It's all yours.
I've given away all of my accounts, like steam etc, to family members.
Good bye all.
Jerry,
Connor was one of the most genuinely heartwarming and friendly people I had the pleasure of meeting in this community. He was a helpful, kind, understanding presence that benefited everyone around him. I haven't been present here in years at this point, nor had I spoken to Connor in a while, but even still, this news is genuinely heart-wrenching even after all this time. He was a good guy with a big heart, and he made everyone aware of it wherever he went, including this place, and I'm glad we had the chance to meet, however brief his and my interaction was.
Thank you, for going out of your way to let us know here. Here, Connor was a good friend, elsewhere he was nothing short of a damned hero. The world is a brighter place for him having been in it.

Hey Jerry, My deepest Condolences to you and the rest of the family, Your boy was a very nice person... He was kind and nice to me, I will miss him so much.
Stay strong and RIP my friend @Connor (Snoopy)
I didn't know Connor particularly well, but from the limited interactions we had, I found him to be a very pleasant and knowledgeable person. He got me into the K'Hara and I had a ton of fun playing with him and the boys. Fly high, Connor.
