This used to be like this before you know? When we had vacationers tourists vips and only 1 passenger commodity. Then they changed it and now some only occupy 1 slot.

A thorough "yes" from me, for the reasons already mentioned here and in the previous discussion thread. I believe it'll boost immersion that little bit more - a touch which I quite enjoy seeing. Perhaps slaves could take less space than a pleasantly accommodated passenger abroad an OS&C liner, but the idea in general has my support.

furthermore, if u make slaves only to be used in a liner then your limiting smugglers using FL ID. There used to be a smuggler ID but not anymore.

Also. Who really cares about such 'balances'. Will it change gameplay for the better or just become more hard to do something you wana do. If lets says slave unit is 4 cargo then I would want the price for the arrival to be 4 times as much. But then who even cares? your just looking at numbers now of cargo.

Im just saying why trouble yourself over numbers. Also have you ever though how big some of those ships actually are in terms of human scale? In a van you can comfortably seat up to 8 ppl. 16 if you stuff everyone in uncomfortable maybe Big Grin

I don't know how else can I answer you. sorry :/

Simple explanation that solves everything:

It's not a bottle of whiskey. It's a crate of whiskey. A stock.

A freighter might have 400 cargo "units". The word "unit" implies a type of measurement. This "unit" is some predefined volume of space. Every stock of whiskey, marijuana, scrap metal, takes up a "unit" of space. It might be a large crate.

Also, try to keep in mind that these ships are much larger in space than they may appear in-game. Even the tiny starflier is quite huge next to the humans when it docks.

meh its true that for rp reasons they could change it to be like that of gaian wildlife, each person would kinda need a certain minimum space for comfortable passage. This could lead to the introduction of a commodity of people in stasis, which might compact them to require less space. i vote for that!

Nope.

Yes, people who have no idea what basic math is will have a hard time. But I doubt we have such people on this server, or do we?

This is my only argument for leaving slaves as is.
