You may be right, I've no idea if the admin shields were this powerful before..but, if it wasn't, well...they have of course gotten themselves the uber equipment...CONSPIRACY !

Yeah, a fleet attacked Laowai outside Malta to see if it was possible to kill an admin, and won. Amusement all round. JihadJoe, being the other admin present, then finished the job of murdering all involved. Next mod, their shields became invulnerable.:lol:

If I remember correctly, there was RP competition. One for in-game rp. Other for best story which, Stoat won.

why they aren't organized again? who knows

I believe two Admins have died to players as of this writing (in the past two and a half years at least).

- Laowai, AFK in Omicron Alpha. Destroyed by six or seven battleships.
- Xoria, Starflier in New York. Retribution was swift. Might have been a different situation here though.

Worth noting that they are NOT invulnerable. It'd just take a relatively large number of Heavy Mortars impacting simultaneously to bring the shield down.

all in all the conclusion is that disco doesn't need antagonist factions, it doesn't need phantoms, it doesn't need nomads, it doesn't need coalition and it doesn't need many other things, no AIs, the game is hijacked by morons to confuse the game with their dickwaving generic competition games mixed up with troll-of-the-day.
