To be honest, the current design shape actually fits the BHG line better than this one (and just about any others that have been proposed). The windows may be a bit unnecessary, but why not just slap some slabs of armour on it like the Mako, replacing/covering most of them.
I think this design is a bit too divergent from the general shape of the BHG shipline, and some of the features on it look rather silly.

Correct. But design which should meet an emotional appeal. The Liberty Dread is accepted because it's what we feel it should look like.
The notion that we'd get used to it in retrospect have some clear contrary cases, such as the example set by the Spyglass, which looks nothing like what we think it should look like and is therefor eyed with distaste.
If the Liberty Dread looked like the Bretonian Battleship we wouldn't accept it. Because it looks nothing like a proto-western vessel of war. If the Liberty Dread had a teagarden sticking on the top deck we would scratch our heads and go lulwhat, though we wont question a totally illogical command deck on the uppermost floor.
the current BHG BC is not quite inline - from my point of view - because it is not arched like the destroyer or the mako - but rather laying "belly down"
for those that had been around back then - i made those bhg models based on dreygons concepts. - however - at that time... we still had the old mako model - which was ditched due to an unsolvable hitbox issue ( which turned out not to work with the new one either - so it was kinda unnecessary )
the old idea had been to go from the high arched destroyer to the low laying BC - to a massive and straight featured battleship as shown in the revised "retro" model above ( thats basicly how the old mako looked like )
anyway - thats what such public thread are about - to receive feedback
the resistance against such a revision is too great to follow any further - maybe in the future, someone else or myself can think of something else again.
Out of all the BHG cap revisions I've seen, that one is one of the best (along with this one).
That model is angular, simplistic and quite tough/stocky looking, not fancy or overly stylised, rather simple and utilitarian, which is very good, and suits how the Core would build our ships. Any chance of seeing a more finely shaped and possibly textured version of this one?
Each modeller has a perspective view on should like what or what not. Dreygon made his concepts on what a BHG line should look like - though Jinx could come up with a new completely different design (NO ZONER DESIGNS kthnx:) ) if he never saw the concepts or think of his own.
I personally have a whole new redesign thought on my mind - however, why waste my time creating them as the community is comfortable to fly the current ones and used to the design?
Lastly, BHG Ship Line doesn't need a fancy looking design what-so-ever as they are not a Cruise Line Faction out in the Borders. Obviously they are hunters, so they need purposes of a ship and strong weaponry/armour OVER design, fashion, and etc.

This is an excellent example. Simple, war-type ship, made to take down something in front of his way.
