Yeah, NASA have been trying to get <strike>attention on solar storms</strike> increased funding for years. It could be pretty devastating if we really do get hit by a storm.

We got hit by one the other day, nothing happened. In fact the most "disastrous" effect humanity has ever had to face due to solar storms was a 9 hour blackout. In Quebec... And since then programmes have been put in place all around the world to reduce the risks associated with solar/geomagnetic storms. Don't believe the hype!
