Both Treewyrm and Praetyre have worked EXTREMELY hard to be approved,,, Most admins were infact against their factions proposals (rep fixinf issues, PVP whore, etc). it is because of all the restrictions they have that the nomads/wilds can be played.
And be admitted in one of the factions isn't that hard.

So, rather then a long and drawn out process of acceptance that proves your dedication, maturity and patience, you'd rather have a hasty selection? Think of the implications - what i in the rapid selection period you judged someones character badly? There would be havok. The Nomad and Wilde IDs are lisences to do whatever you want and kill everything. Thanks to he selection process those that weild it can be relied on to use it wisely. Nuff said.
While I understand why there are heavy restrictions, and don't expect anyone but the factions to become wild or nomads, I would like to put forward the statement that the Keepers, at least, aren't pure nomads...they're nomad guards, and leaders among the nomads, from the last time I understood one of their RPs. That leaves a lot of rp space empty, and I would like to see a few independent nomads, real nomads, to fill that space.
Wild, I believe, should not have independents.. I do think they need a whole lot more activity, or more members, and probably both, though. The group is a military organization, and I would expect the leader of the faction to be the leader of -every- wild.
I'm also going to second what kingvaillant just said. The leaders and founders of each faction worked extremely hard to get those factions viable, and just anyone shouldn't be allowed to be a Nomad or a Wild, or Phantom, or Terrorist. There's to much room for abuse.

If you want in either group, then write a RP story and submit it to the leader of the faction you wish to join (It's what I'm doing).

As Spider said, having the Nomad/Wild ID is a priviledge, not something for you to have so you can blow up the server at will. The IDs are there to give players the chance to play them yes, a chance to roleplay them and enjoy the aspect of it all, but only under a careful watch, for example the faction leaders who are in control of the Wild and Nomad factions. Were not going to give it to an independent only to get 20 saction reports about it a week later, it isn't worth it.
There isn't a chance of independents happening, ever... Unless we remove the letters "RP" from the server name, don't count on it.

Your information is heavily outdated, I do not understand why you are bringing up such ancient pre-faction stuff (what was it, earlier v1 draft), I'm afraid your statement holds no merit already by at very least six months. And will be gravely outdated by 4.85 release. More importantly the statement that Keepers consist of both hybrids and pure nomads was there since day one. As for the topic of independent Nomads I've explained it many times, not going to repeat myself again there.
i never wanted to blow the server up at will, when i wanted to be a nomad, all i wanted to do was improve my RP but you never get the chance to do that in this server, because all the flaming and abuse you get thrown at you.

I did not say any of those things. I said that the Keepers were Nomad Guards, as opposed to 'civilian' nomads. Pure nomads, biologically, yes. Unless I'm horribly mistaken, and have been lead astray by your recent posts on the matter, the Keepers are a group apart from 'regular' nomads, which helps to explain why they include hybrids.
You have said before that there is not a chance of there ever being an independent nomad, and I opened my post by saying I understand that. All I'm trying to say is that there is a similarly small chance of you convincing me that the faction can actually roleplay all the possible roles that a nomad could play, indeed I believe you are playing a specific role, like the QCRF play a specific role in the BAF.
Because the QCRF plays a specific role, I make no attempt to restrict indies. I believe you cannot, for obvious reasons, but I completely disagree with your justification for it.
