Just a quick poke before that, though. If that model of full control over the NPC faction works so well for the immersion and RP, why not allow every other official faction to do the same? Think about that.

I think its running away from responsability. I really dislike that closed boys clubs of high rp. Now why?
And worst of all, the same closed club dares to bash lolwutters, instead of doing something about it. YOu are just as bad as them then in my eyes.

Now why coalition should be closed perhaps, its becouse it has a lot of enemies and quite huge ZoI. It can be pvp whored. So the only reason is should be faction only is might be this.

No someone mentioned about ideas. Heh, if person rp's a person who forgat his idea and become just simple pirate with Coaltion iff? Look at the gaians they were idalistic too. The same might happen to scra.

Another thing is why someone tend to be closed, is.. they dont want others to see they way of cooperating and working. That might have varios reasons why.

ANd for the one who wanted to join coalition. I say yes. You need to join scra for that. Just to make sure you wont abuse the id as "kill everything" thing.

The ID and nature of the Coalition creates this issue, and for now and future this is the policy. I'd also advise you not use the word '<strike>fags</strike>' in any context on these boards.

I want to fly my own unique cruiser vessel with a single massively powerful cannon mounted on it, capable of blowing chunks off battleships in one go while at the same time being able to personally control the Force and gain power through that, perhaps to avoid death.
Yet, I don't think that will happen.
Though the force would be a nice addition to Disco...*Dreams of being able to make force storms*

Wait who are you again? This is actually not a BS. Do you want to know what is a BS? Your wish to get a Coalition indie with semi Terrorist id to "RP" all around Sirius while following your own set of rules. We did all this to prevent that from happening. If you prove your worthy you can as well join us and you will get the same effect. We do not restrict people on how they will role play. We got our id we got our ship line because of people who gave their time and patience to SCRA. Wrote stories etc. We do not deny you anything if you want you can role play whatever you want just without our ID and ships. There is no conspiracy here. :)If you want it try to join us.

How was Linkus "polluting" the thread? He was helping to answer the OP's question. You AJ were polluting the thread, don't try and drag other people down into the mud with you.

To your second point, the SCRA ID allows a lot more freedom to do whatever you want than most other ID's and that is the reason why it needs to be more restricted. The biggest issue is this line right here:

Can't exactly have a ton of new people that haven't proven that they can handle a non restricted, attack anything ID flying around Sirius creating a general ruckus.

Fouche, no one is saying you can't join. It's just that this is a more restricted ID because of the freedoms it allows and it is therefore more tightly controlled. The SCRA has a recruitment process and if you go through it I'm sure you will be able to join up. I'm not familiar with the process as I'm not in the SCRA myself, but I've heard it's a lot of fun so it's probably worth it.
