It really depends on skype friendships. You can have any ship/gun, get into any special faction, if you know the right people. RP doesn't matter.

Anyway, as to the question. Quantity has increased, and with the somewhat rushed look of some communications and RP stories, as well as the entry of people into the RP forums who only do it for the post count, it's quality has decreased in my opinion.

Define "Skype-friendship based".
So what you're saying basically is... Someone might spend a whole year RPing both on forum and server to justify getting a loadout that only because -he- can use it at its full capacity, you can cry about it being "OP-PvP", and then it should be revoked cause you suck in PvP? Ye right!

Skype-friendship based is quite clear- it dont need to be commented.
Try to read and quote my whole post not only fragments of it,there is written that I have nothing against slightly overpowered set-ups but against set-ups that break the currnet balance between different lines and weapons, because it goes in the rule section of harming the game-play according to me, read my examples in the second post that I made.

Nowhere I stated that good backed up with forum RP and in-game actions requests should be revoked,actually I said quite the opposite.
And no PvP-skills have nothing to do here, I dont find mine good or worst rather somewhere in the middle.

someone look and ask on skype around who knows him and in witch fraction he is or his group..

I see some that are lacking much of written text, Look at the request of me and charos for gaian GB and how it differ from my request of mamoru but yet both have pretty good RP justification, one have lot of background and one have written text reasons.
So to someone that looks at them might say: "Oh look he is friend of that guy from xxxx" when infact its simply stuff you didn't know.
So all in all, yes I think there is RP that is given prior to those tech permissions and I trust that does who have the power to give those tech permissions WILL think about it, yes they might be lighter with their mates, but they will still demand some nice amount of RP before doing anything.

and that a hole thing here goes if you are some indie and you want some tech from some fraction , % that you been approved is 0,001 %, and you must talk to someone that he knows someone who had that guy on skype and those guy in skype must beg for a tech stuff for you.. something like that :unsure:

The quality has decreased because of the slew of individuals who believe that roleplay is a place where they can preen their feathers and be tough guys. Roleplay is not a place where you should be invulnerable. It's a place where you should be vulnerable and get kicked down every now and then. Every good story has struggle.

Factions being blown out of proportion (see: Zoner War Machine), factions being marginalized (see: House governments which should be more powerful than all the pirates and brigands combined, but who's keeping score), weird alliances that don't make sense, a lack of understanding of what the term "Total War" entails, et cetera, et cetera...
