Well, good ol' Sigma-13 is a little bit small for post-84 piracy. Traders have become smarter. Hitting the Gas Miners in S-19 might be an option though.

I already got my Centurion based up in Sigmas yesterday. Will probably add my shiny new Titan to that area shortly as well (my other Titan is based in Bretland). Omicrons and Omegas become boring pretty quickly and Sigmas sure need some pirating action... If it's actually organised, all the better. But like Joe said, leave your caps at home. Oh, and you can also hit Rheinland from there.
A thing about the raiding in other places than the "usual" - as already mentioned, leaving the Omicrons without a balanced group is against the Corsair law, even raids on Alpha fall under this sentence(but not many seem to care)
So one would have to organize much more or simply focus more on the snubcrafts. And i think most people simply don't want to organize and just have a "nonorganized" quick funny episode with their caps, at least that is my impression.
As for military operations - how inclined are the Corsairs to continue their claim on systems like Cambridge? There is not much info on that, which doesn't mean it is a bad idea to think in that direction! Even more so- the proposed new raiding grounds get a thumbs up from me, diversity is always a winner.
And piracy: my experiance is simply to stay away from Dublin, Omega 3 and 7 and visit systems like the Sigmas, some in Rheinland and so on where thraders are not fully expecting a pirate around every corner and the Corsair in that case doesn't have hessians, mercenaries and lawfuls on his tail as soon as he jumps into the system. That way you have more time to rp with the traders, better success rates and less fights(which are a thing that no pirate should be out looking for in my opinion)
Summed up: more organization(like in the gamma chat), and a return to the roots of corsair lifestyle(pirating, artifact brokering, PROactive defense from BH,Hessians and Mercs aswell showing off in our super superior titans instead of hiding behind caps above a docking ring!)
Well after this discussion where i dont see any sair who recently takes part in alpha raids, i feel that the idea is more supported by others who have already doing what i proposed.
The idea of raiding chembridge is not about claiming the system, but to actively take part in the Gallia-Bretornia conflict which has a future possiblities to annex planet chembridge and station besides( assumed storyline of 4.87 ). Here rheinland was coming to help bretornia against sairs but hessins revolution(that annex some part of dersden ) make them pull back to rheinland and deal with hessain.
Edit : Pls dont see it as a corsair wet dream. Im just saying about a possible outcome of some in game actions ( like ln takes westfalen or kusari took ld 14 or something like that). And what will be the consequence:
Traders faces no problem as they can use the other part of trade lanes of chembridge.
Corsairs get a base in some house space(despite being the largest crminal organisation they dont have any base in any house space!!!!).
Rest is upto you all...

Now I think we must do something other than raidng in alpha. Is it still fun?
...
Happens everyday 2-X times.
As long as it's not done by 15 players with legates and preafects it's ok. Because such player behaviuor doesn't really reflect true interests and doings of Corsairs. Full scale military invasions to somewhere far from proper logistical supplies is waste of resources.
On the other hand smaller raiding parties composed of snubs and perhaps couple of gunboats or a preafect might still look legit. Heh, now the gallia is wiping Bretonia out of existence it would make sense for corsairs to pay more attention to bretonia and push them from the other front as well. Just don't fire upon GRN. Because they are not hostiles.. the opposite both sides have similiar interests at the time being.
But again, this shouldn't be done with 6 battleships or so. Be it omicron alpha or be it bretonia. Doesn't make sense.
Now what touches fair play.. Organized snub fights between GRN, BAF ans Exiles don't really need bunch of caps shooting random red targets. So before you bring load of people with big guns who don't really know what they are actually doing talk with Zelot or Dab about participating. Perhaps it's even possible to make huge pew pews.
Why this differs from alpha. Well in Alpha there was a lot of like minded people who prefered some kind of pew pews like you did. Here things are handled a bit diffrently. So if you want to avoid unneccesery tensions talk before you pull anything "big" or attempt to transplant same gameplay you had in alpha to Bretonia.
