Btw, if you have shields that doesn't make your base invulnerable. The shooting the triggers the shield does do damage. [KNF] destoryed a base that way - just wait for shields to be down again - and shoot!

Yeah, looks like they destroyed Brimstone again. Just goes to show how much this new update makes base managing harder...
Son if a... It would have been nice to dock one more time. Any one know what happened? It must have been destroyed in ~2 hours judging by the forum posts. The people maintaining it come pretty close pretty close to being on every hour of the day, buy that is just too much.

[14:11:44] Syrus: Anyone got contact to the guys from Brimstone?
Brimstone Refinery 22 Off 423875399 <-- they should seriously take a quick look into repairing that.
[...]
[14:16:52] Syrus: Doesn't seem like the base is losing any more hull at the moment, but 22% is very low
[...]
[14:27:10] Syrus: Now it's down to 21% oo
[...]
[14:46:56] Syrus: 20% now. Shield still on.
[14:50:49] Syrus: 15% ... ffs hurry up oO
[14:52:02] Syrus: I wonder who's shooting at it
[14:52:18] Syrus: It's shields are up, CR and GRN are in the syste,
[14:52:33] Syrus: So are two unkowns
[...]
[14:54:27] Syrus: It dropped from 20 to 15% in like no time
[14:54:30] Syrus: And the shield is on
[14:54:35] Syrus: of course someone is shooting at it
I guess the person who shot at it docked at Java every time he fired the shot and the base's shields went up again. If he was really Maquis he could have done that (ooRPly).
Without the new mechanism, bases not only cost way less, but also are actually able to be destroyed. Also, the advantage in of the defenders - you can just command the shields to be on and they'll stay like that for an hour. More than enough time to fend off offenders.

What about the people that got life?

Those probably shouldn't be managing bases. At least not alone:P

Also, 1 hour to take 7% of hull seems reasonable to me, depending on how many ships were shooting it. I don't think it was GRN as we hadn't yet decided to take action on it, we're waiting until we and the rest of the Gallic HC finish making a station construction regulation to post before we enforce it.
If the Brimstone did indeed go boom, I highly suggest the owners abstain from rebuilding it for a few days. That way you can then get proper permission from the government to construct it. If you do want it to go up sooner, contact me on Skype or PMs (If Skype, it'll be 5 hours before a response) and we can work out a temporary waiver for construction allowing you to have the base while we continue deliberating on regulatory conditions.
