Create dev feedback thread then. Also moderator feedback thread. Or just rename this to Staff's Feedback Thread.

Make that partially finished. There's the previous image with your own words. You either suck at communicating, or have a short memory. All of that is fine.
I get that RL>FL as all the people have said it before, but then say that. Not pull it onto reeves being officially bad. As good of an excuse that is.

How you present yourself to players and treat others in relation to the community has everything to do with the GM role. It's not about the models at the end of the day, it's his behavior.

Imagine if a GM was a pedo, it has nothing to do with their GM role, sure, but it's still representing the server. People would freak out about that. Or if they had a political opinion. So why shouldn't they be judged on how vile they are to players in general?
Personal drama is whatever, but refusing to finish work is scummy, and I understand entirely that modelling is hard and doing art stuff in general is very time consuming, as a fellow lazy artist. both sides need to respect each other.

It really isn't scummy, if you're being a bitch to me when I decide to spend upward of 10 hours of my freetime to do something for you in particular for free, then I wouldn't finish it either. Nobody would

But the argument here is that Reeves wasn't being scummy, he was merely inquiring on the progress of the ships.
I don't actually know what happened, nor care enough, but if it was the case where they were defending that, kinda bad. But like I said, respect does have to go both ways in the end. I know I wouldn't make stuff for ungrateful turds.

Aight, as i have the time i'll drop in here for a response. Shouldn't have to as what's already been said shows plenty, but here we go anyway!
Quote:Extent of his capability is just doing meshes, he can't even texture his meshes himself. It takes him half a year do to a plain mesh, then he has to find someone else to texture and wrap up the ship for him - which means even as a mere modeler his contribution would've been extremely lackluster, let alone a proper gold-named dev. That's the core of the issue I took with him - The fact that after almost a year of having already been a dev he still can't do it at all goes to show that he hasn't even tried, and that's completely unacceptable and inexcusable. For anyone who already knows how to navigate any 3D modeling program, getting a general grasp on the very primitive and simple texturing technique used in FL is something that doesn't take more than a few hours (or a few evenings at most).
First of all this implies I've had much time at all to model, let along learn the few bits and bobs I need to be self sufficient in that task, which I have.
While yes, admittedly I have contributed little so far I've at least kept the people I'm working with in the know, and up to speed if I'm working on something for Disco, or needing to do RL stuff. Its not as if I've dragged singular mesh projects on for months at a time, I made the Iris mesh in a mere 3 days (A week before a deadline for Uni work at the time) and the Blossom's mesh I made over a period of 3 weeks, with actual time spent on it over that period totalling in at 5 days at most, when I had the time. Despite the rather drawn out process at times, at least talking to people from time to time maintains some understanding between us, and thus I've had no problems, nor complaints.
As for texturing? True, I knew fuck all about trim sheets, let alone FL's own antiquated method of which. I had wanted to make an effort to learn as I've said, and I only truly had a chance to do so when a module in my Uni gave me the free-form opportunity to study whatever skill I wanted, and that I was lacking in, to improve upon. And I jumped on that chance. That was in January, And I have since done some texturing works for some station part meshes for Grosh and on the behalf of GC- for the KKJ station mesh in DWG. So luckily for you as you are so bothered by it, I no longer need to rely on others for help in that regard.
Quote:and it was only after I had finished the ship that I found out they had already gone to another modeler and asked them to finish the same ship, with neither of us knowing the other one had already finished it. So because one incompetent, unqualified dev can't even carry his own weight and contribute as much as a mere modeler to this mod, two other people who already had more than enough on their hands had to completely waste their time redoing the same work for absolutely nothing.
Funny thing this. When going by timestamps through the process leading up to the drama, you had a Day or Two, to come to me saying it was done, and you didn't. Ofc let's not forget you laid down the law, in saying the more things get asked the more it gets delayed. And this wasn't only at me, but others, as evidenced by the rest of the Drama going on.
You must also bear in mind that, as Meg has said, She took it to someone else to get sorted, not me, and then linked me into the discussion of that for ease of communication:
And even better! Is the fact that before anything of this came to be I had also started making my own attempt at finishing it, as at the time I was now reasonably confident in my own ability to take what I had and finish it off.
Ofc this didn't end too well with Maya really not liking the files you provided me, causing it to be mostly unusable. So sadly that went out the window real quick.
It was at the point that, when all other avenues seemingly available to us were out the window, that Treewyrm took up the task of finishing it for us, GC, and the Balance team, without us knowing that by this point you had already finished.
And once it was done and sent I immediately marked it as done on all related channels that people would use to track it on.
It was then the following day that you kicked up a fuss, due to you're own failure to communicate and your active attitude basically holding meshes back to shut people up and keep quiet, or atleast the threat of doing so in our case, which we took, and kept quiet. Obviously that didn't work out well for you, and as you say, ended up wasting your own time.
Now, As for being banned from the discord, while I wouldn't usually care, I do in this case because it has effectively become a Discovery Working Groups server for artists, Albeit unofficially. It was a place to network with other peeps and had a good majority of useful FL assets relating to art on hand for quick access. While you may have initially created it as you're own little modeller hole, it has expanded and became more than that. Regardless of your own drama, people should be able to access it regardless, provided of course they are topical on the matter, and not just joining it for the sake of, and cluttering it.
Regardless, for someone quick to comment on the heavy responsibilities of a Voluntary Role (As voluntary as your own I might add), You seem quick to attempt to dodge said responsibilities yourself. Despite the fact that as a GM, you are more community orientated than the devs, and shouldn't be causing so much trouble for it.
Thus ends my say on the matter, the rest just seems to be filler, or has been plenty covered by others.
