Only a wild guess here, but i think Jansen didin't sanctioned you without discussing the case with other Admins. So pointing fingers at one Admin is just dumb and totally wrong.

I see no problem with the Nomad and Wilde cloaks.
I play with my Nomad a lot, and with the cloaks I can now RP without everyone saying "red on radar, engaging"
If you got cloaked jumped by a Nomad.....how is it different from a cloaked Valor doing it to a BAF ship?

Really? Wilde don't have a strict ZoI and are responsible for most of the complaints about minimal rp in combination with infinite cloaks.

It is SO atmospheric, if you do a rp conversation to constantly stay on thrust while moving the mouse, instead of just typing and just playing.

Generally speaking: a few seconds of warning and reaction time should be not too much to ask for. Energy drain on uncloak and be done with the problem.

Can you prove such behaviour? I'd really like to see an example.

But I was arguing against this as soon as I learned of it. If you make it possible for them to do this... they will do it. Possibly because some may think, 'oh, this is something my ID says I can do, therefore that must be what I should be doing'.

It feels very wrong, very contrary to what this community is supposed to represent, to have this... closed-faction silent-ambush engagebung going on.

Either require them to RP like everyone else, or make their cloak drain their powercore so they can't uncloak-backstab-trololololol like this.

Someone suggested an energy drain to compensate for the powerful cloaks. This would work. But please, don't drain it till the cloak is disabled, or when it's actually enabled. 'cause that'd be more than annoying if it wasn't. Especially with a duk. Regardless, having the nomads focus so intently on something, such as cloaking them~would likely take a bit of effort on their part, passed their shield drain.

Regardless, more to add to this. With the length of the cloak charge, it does mean that if you end up beating them up, and they wanna flee~just spam CDs and they have no real chance of cloaking. So, yeah it's a decent 'weapon' so far. As well as an exploration tool. But as a defence, it's null/void.

Good advise. Should be more fun. Because a discussion with you is senseless it seems. Why? Because you try to hide your own inability to discuss things in a way mature human beeings normally discuss things with a simple 'hey look at his grammar! How awful!'. My character was killed that night by a bomber uncloaking behind me, blowing me to pieces while giving a firing order at the same time. After the fight, one followed us to New London, got behind a motionless Senior Judge Emmure at Waterloo Station and decloaked while blowing him to pieces, while saying that was for his mouth in Newcastle.

Please THINK about this action, unlimited stealth and the misuse of that power that will…has already caused problems. Think about the anger and frustration the shear unfairness this decision has created among others NOT “Wilde” faction members. I was angry that night, as were the Judges with me trying to get a test completed. We are unofficial and there is no Admin in our faction to advocate for us.

Logan, Wilds are Nomads, aliens that are out to eat your brain. You should usually not expect them to be nice to you, nor to surivive an encounter with them. Remember, space is dangerous and they are one of the reasons for this.

My reply:

Jansen, you do not need to be condescending to me. Over two years here I have witnessed admin decision making and learned in that time period to shut up. That is why you see very few posts of mine. It makes no difference and the admins could truly care less. However, this is the first time you have targeted one of my people, and that forces a reaction.

You obviously missed the point when I said the Judges have no admin to advocate for us. Admins in a faction will tend to favor their faction above others. You have finagled an “Infinite Cloak” for the Wilde and with their “Infinite violence” Tag they are already abusing other players. Please don’t call it RP. I started RP in1972 and what you guys are doing ain’t it, not even close.

The admins have made a mistake. This decision will drive people from the server who do not like “Uber” players. This at a time when the admins have dropped the “30 contact hours per month” clause for “active factions, because you are so desperate to keep “active factions”. Please correct your mistake.
