Except this is different in the Omicrons because the devs thought it was a terrific idea to make all the home systems a high-way in order to reach Delta or to get to other locations. So the same really can't be applied here.
RP or not - you should be promoting a healthy state of mind to the server. Too much 'realisim' will break the fiction reality and cause stress. Don't turn this game into a chore. It isn't about realism. Leave that to the stories. This certainly isn't an excuse to gang pile on one person.
There's players behind each ship. Regardless of whatever flimsy RP > Gameplay justifications there may be, if you're going to kill them at least kill them in a way that will be enjoyable for both sides.
If PvP is not the main focus here then ensure that before you shoot/kill them, whether it be done with 1 ship or 5 ships, you can ensure the moments leading up to the first shot fired will leave the player with the satisfaction of having had an enjoyable encounter as a whole.
Remember people, there's players behind each ship and character. If we start prioritising things above those players, we are simply dehumanising ourselves and demonising the game we play.
Well, folks, let's have a heaty arguement about which is the bigger crime: Wanting to hang around people in their homes just to have Roleplay on a Roleplay server, or wanting to Roleplay one's own home's defenses properly on a Roleplay server?

I am not talking about home systems, and the area around Gammu is pretty out of the way, plus Laz specifically went there, therefore your argument here is invalid.

It's not an excuse, it's a justification. There's a difference. As I said, I don't do this usually, but I also do not see a reason to object to PRIMEs behaviour. A "healthy environment" for me is when I can immerse myself in the fiction, and that means that breaking it to ensure that fights stay fair (in which you don't lose anything, btw, because your character is basically invincible and credits are worthless) shatters this immersion. We're not in a hugbox-carebear environment, at least not inRP. Space is dangerous. I would like it to feel that way.

I didn't realize RP was a Crime on this RP SERVER. Thanks for letting me know.
It's not. Flying to someone's home and ignoring multiple ORDERS to leave however is nigh-suicidal, and you should not expect to survive in that situation. Go on, break into somebody's house, armed with military-grade weaponry, and expect them to warn you five times, stop to ask a final question, and then complain they shot you.
Quote:So... in short: I don't see a point RP'ing with you in the future
Well you wouldn't see us posting in Core's Feedback thread if we were to simply chill out in Rho near Invicta, for example. Nobody would cry if the nomads were to gank people having smalltalk near the Ravine. Also nobody should cry if LN brings an entire fleet if Rogues pirate right next to Manhattan.
So when you come right up Planet Gammu - the absolute definition of a sanctuary for the AI - don't expect not to get shot.
Plus, in my opinion that wasnt a *gank*
A gank is - in my opinion - when a fight TURNS unfair by going from a 1v1 to a 5v1
In this situation, you knew from the start, that there were 5 Drones looking at you, ready to blast you any second.
Every human being with a will to live - no matter how curious he/she may be - would run for their lives, because they were actually given the chance.
You however, didn't. And basically choose to fight this 5v1.
(06-13-2016, 09:28 PM)Char Aznable Wrote: a fair fight
In RP, this does not and should not exist for any faction unless some kind of honour is part their rp. They are machines. 5v1 is optimal, as is ignoring you're <query>. I see no problem here grasshopper.
Their """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""RP"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" kills the enjoyment of other players. Think about the dude that's playing the character that the five PRIME tosspots interacted with. You know, the guy with the keyboard? The human? Yeah, he ain't enjoying himself while them five AI drones with 10.00 refire funguns shoot his ass out of the sky.
Justifying this disgusting gank with "RP" makes me want to smash you and Char's heads in with a brick. It's absolute garbage to think that RP comes before gameplay. I sure as hell hope it didn't turn into that while I was away. It's a scumbag thing to do and both of you know it.
Then again, if Laz was told to leave not once but a couple of times, this whole thing is his fault. Then AGAIN, PRIME basically told him to go screw himself in that situation. Splendid """"""""""""""RP"""""""""""""" from a splendid faction. Better to interact with your own group of friends than other people, yeah?
To end it, I'm going to say that PRIME| are absolute and utter garbage in PvP. While a gank from them is more or less understandable like it is from, say, 5th|, you could at least pour only two people on the guy you're fighting. If the guy is some cocky son of a gun that came in there with the intent to kill you all - sure, jump on his ass. If the guy clearly is some near-zero experience PvPer (or the average kind of PvPer) then don't give the guy hell. You may all be laughing your asses off saying "YO HE'S DRY", but I'm pretty sure that the guy on the other end isn't having as much fun as you.
And to provide genuine feedback - I haven't had a single pleasant encounter with PRIME, ever, in my life. The only AI I've ever had fun interacting with was some gunless Cruiser with no tag, 3 years ago.
And I guess I had fun taking your callsigns and turning them into a nice shade of blue for my collection of dead drones. (It's not that big. Most of the time I just outright avoided you.)
tl;dr i hate your faction and Gameplay > RP always

The thing about that kind of reasoning is, that you're talking about a faction that specifically tries to act as non-human as possible. I'm not saying that someone is simply able to just switch off their emotions, but it is the main fuondation of PRIME.
