They already have a LF and HF. The LF is fine. The HF needs some improving but its a solid start. They do need a light bombers. They could also use a light gunboat. That would give them very good coverage.

Increase the armor but reduce the agility of capital ships, give them more guns, etc. Bretonia isn't fighting an offensive war here, so they should be 'turtling' behind as much armor and weaponry as possible. It works well for Rheinland because of their wide array of snubcraft- the Bergelmir in particular is a dream bomber. The Wraith and gunboats are fantastic antisnub ships.
Now brets have very heavy templar so would be good to give em ligher version of templol, as Liberty has guardian as ligher and avenger as heavy

Do the same... MOX-Torpedos with their abbundance of Mox...
Bombers and fighters are easy to maintain.
Come on! A torpedo the is only sold in Bretonia, has a huge nerf for everyone who isn't Bretonian
and takes up a whacking great pile of cargo space...
This game needs more Unique things for each faction, isntead of everyone being the same...
It would be a last ditch maneuver for the brets and considering no matter what they do they
continue to lose the war I think they need to do a few more "Holy Cow we are gonna lose this war!" things.
Who says it has to be a new design? Many of the new models that come in are simply retconned in. For example some of the wrecks you see around Bretonia look like a Dunkirk class BS but larger and with two engines. Who is to say that wasn't an older, heavier model that Bretonia retired and are now rushing back into service as fleet carriers?

Those are the old Nessie class Battleships that became out-dated and were replaced by the Dunkirk.
Some discussion here, with a story of the end of the Buccaneer War that I found very interesting.
' Wrote:They're also getting a battlecruiser soon, and already have a carrier. Answer: They have modelers.
Yes, bretonia dont have modelers for the fact their capital ship line is really hard to build. Its not impossible but it would take more time and efforts.
@On the topic: Bret BC or Light Carrier?
-Bretonia dont need a light carrier for the reason they already have a medium battleship. Receiving something like the zoner carrier is classified as light/medium bs with bad weapon arcs. It would be usless next to the dunkirk.
-Bretonian BC on the other hand is something interesting but both gunboat and destroyer are huge ships with "maximum potencial" on them - armor/core/weapons. A battlecruiser that will just have 2 battleship guns, bigger shape will again lead to something closer to the dunkirk and to something useless.
-Lighter bombers or ligther VHFs are no need as well cuz the challenger is excellent for what he is met for and the templar is great ship for Bretonian space (considering the tech of brets enemies)
-What bretonia is in need now and would be possible to build in such desperate times is Lighter Gunboat or Gunship. The reason for this necessity is the fact that the current bretonian gunboat is suitable for patrols but cant serve its duty as anti snub killer due to its size and vulnerability in combat.
-If the gunship is an option the next stage would be Heavy Carrier (which lore story may be little more complicated due to the current situation of Bretonia). The reason for this would be the necessity of "big guns and armor" in middle of the battle where such a ship - following the Heavy ship line of bretonia, would serve as "tank" unit. The heavy carrier may also serve as heavy battleship with enough armor and weapons to force the enemies to keep distance.
I and Jam were working on both - gunship and the heavy carrier - but we need someone that can model ships quickly. So if there are people here willing to help or try, contact me. We have a lot of original ideas but we need someone to realise them.

I cannot disagree more, bret GB turrets are really good compared to all other house turrets and the GB received major buffs compared with 4.85, it is also a lot better then Galic GB. I bet none would take lighter GS instead the current GB unless it is OP like bottlenose. If you does not believe me ask around the GB Pros, it is like saying that Imperator is bad GB- it is excellent one that wins versus 5-6 snubs like it is ship from Hell if flown by good pilot and die vs single bomber flown by nub, well bigger GBs are fail if the pilot is not really good and are harder to master, but they have a lot of potential, in pairs they are almost unbeatable.
You are right about the rest. Liberty-like Heavy carrier would be neat and clever option and it would be nice to have it. The Paladin replacement is really nice ship- just make carrier.

If you have 10x as much nuke... yees!!
Big fat and inefficient nuke-pedoes, a mox cauldron strapped to a rocket engine.

Also it doesnt matter if its a new design or an old design,
they still need building... and according to lore Brets getting its
butt whooped.

War is simple, those who have an abundance of resources build big stuff...
Those who are getting their arse beat build small cheap stuff or badly built stuff
that is rushed out to the front line and quickly dies but hopefully takes some
of the enemy with them.
