I think the ship should be able to take a serious beating but not necessarily dish out one. Large cargo hold is a must or whats the point in being a salvage ship. Maybe a missle turrent to help beat off fighters.

Basically high defense and low offence.

Yes--high defense, low offense.

It would be great for defending Junkers at a base from fighter attacks.

And new Junker ship to pawn is needed.

Where is the Hogosha battleship now?

Why have a Junker and Hogosha agreed on two seperate things? I'm getting worried. :P

Oh and I agree with Tenacity. This should not be a repair ship. People would not be to happy of we went around fixing thier enemies.

That thing looks friggin' sweet! Jinx you're a genuis! The texture is probably the best bit though. I'd say give it four GB turrets for defence (it'll be on par offenceivly with the Zoner GB then, I think). I'm guessing it would have poor agility and strafe due to the size so most other Gb's would be able to best it.

Probably "Oh noez, Junker. Bomberz tiem!" *Booms* "That that Mr. Junker!"

Question:

Will we be allowed to pirat in that ship? I mean if itll have transport turrets and lvl 7 shield, it will be weaker
then GBs, so it should be allowed to pirat in it.

I'm thinking of finding some remote staton in a distant system and RP that i(captain) would have a deal with
the arms dealer on that station, and fly around and tear ships up and steal their parts, and then bring them
to that dealer.

[prevention]DONT TRY TO STEAL MYN IDEA FROM HERE![/prevention]

I think it would be scary if that ship charged at ya:D

when i tested it - i did with cruiser turrets. - anyway - yes, it has less firepower than a gunboat - mind, i don t know if it ll be allowed to pirate in it - up to igiss to set its "ship class". - when i was to decide - i d say "yes" - cause it leaves the trader a fair chance.

I still wish it'd get put in as a transport =(

At least then I could replace my junker's firefly with something unique and full of awesomeness. Lots of cargo, lots of armor, and lots of transport-level turrets for defense fit a junker heavy salvage ship far better than weak defenses and an overload of repair batteries =/

sending over bots and batts in the trade screen is easy... takes a few seconds if you know what you're doing...

But this looks really really nice as a model. If people are really desperate for a transport version, then I'd ask Jinx to do this:

Add on extra containers around the ship while have the "bolted on" feel and then change the stats a bit, and the infocard to reflect these changes. Best of both worlds no?

Great work on the model Jinx:D

It doesnt need external containers to be a transport, the ship model looks fine as-is. Keep in mind that the thing is almost as big as an outcast destroyer...

Compare it to ships like the firefly that have 3500 cargo space but a relatively small ship model.

EDIT:

JINX!

one more thing, can you switch the engine effect to a rheinland style and show what it looks like with that? The rheinland engines tend to appear more 'low-grade' and rough-ish than the civilian engine does.
