For your continued and diligent work in Her Majesty's service, as well as your work on the Grantchester investigation, you have been promoted to Chief Inspector.
Reena Wright,
Your long service has been noted by Commissioners, present and past, and we are impressed with your dutiful work. With Chief Inspector Hone still captured, your request to be placed as Superintendent of New London has been approved. Do look after the capital.
Peter O’Neill here sir, submitting my first report.
I received instructions to proceed to Poole and commence my first shift on Caernarfon Station.
Chief Inspector Page personally offered to take me on a tour of the house systems. We left for Cambridge and I got familiar with the Hussar, although I had done many hours in a simulator, the real thing feels so much more responsive.
Inspector Page got a long range scan on a vessel identified as Juliano and suspected him of being a Silver smuggler. He instructed me to head for the Leeds system while he followed the suspect and called for support from Planet Leeds.
We intercepted Juliano on the Trade Lane to the Edinburgh Jump Gate. Juliano protested that he had no knowledge of the Tau blockade and the licence required to carry Silver Ore to Planet Harris. Juliano however did purchase a licence from Chief Inspector Page and I escorted the ship to Planet Harris to ensure the cargo was delivered. We did encounter a GRN patrol on the way, but I think the were just a green as me as we managed to evade them no problem and returned to the Leeds system safely.
After a patrol of New London’s lanes Inspector Page decided it was time for break, he was heading to Newgate and I was heading to Planet New London, just as we went off down our respective Trade Lanes I got an alert from the TLAGSNET that a vessel with Nuclear Devices on board had entered the New London system. I immediately set a course to intercept and requested Chief Inspector Page to meet me at Canterbury Station.
The vessel was identified as Winn, another transport Captain claiming to be ignorant of the law and the transport of hazardous goods through Bretonia. After the Chief had inspected the vessel he issued a Licence for the ship to carry Nuclear Devices to Southampton station.
We then parted company again and I headed for Christy’s tea shop on New London.

Evening all,
Filing a report on a recent engagement with the Corsairs. Quite a number of them around, with our own forces backed up by Guild hunters. Andre of the Black Sails was shot down by me pretty swift, before I fell to Chavez. Heard our forces cleaned them out later on, grand.
Moving on from Trafalgar, and onto good news, I apprehended a SamuraSmuggler near Planet leeds, and with the help of the BAF destroyed him when he tried to run.
Thankyou and goodnight.

With Miller all set up, I suppose I should clear some of the backlog - from most of this year actually. This'll be a big one I expect...
Combat reports
The BAF and I started an engagement with a sizeable Corsair band in New London, with the eventual assistance of the Mollys. Heavily damaging a few of them and destroyingone personally, they were beaten back.
In the same spot, albeit on a later date, we fought off several Gallic Royal Navy snubs. One of the Juniors and I scored a kill.
After a really weird mess with Rheinlanders and aliens, I managed to get Constable Starstruck away from some Molly gunboats after clearing my own tail from a Bayonet.
While passing with the Betty, another bomber and I found an idling Valor above Leeds and set about removing it.
Hearing reports of a pirating Hessian from the Guild, I went in and was soon engaged. With the help of (then) Captain Havering aboard the Allegiance, we took it out easily enough.
During our defence of Leeds from a large Gallic force, among others we crippled an Obstinate, the Lefaucheux.
Another engagement of the week was with twocaps and a Gaian gunboat alongside them. The last of them ran off, but only after the other two were put out of commission.
For all their superior technology, one Nomad's bomber didn't appear to be up to scratch with my own Challenger.
A Bounty hunter and I also purged New London (and then Leeds) of an alien Gunboat. Right afterwards, a GRN bomber rambling on about something duelled me after killing two [Shade] mercenaries. Unable to best me, even with such a large target, he gave up and for whatever reason destroyed himself.
Speaking of aliens (and suicide), we chased a bomber from a fight with another 'Scorpion' all the way to the Leeds star.
The Corsairs invaded my Cambridge, and I ended up arriving ahead of the rest of our forces. One of their Titans caught the wrong end of their cruiser's guns, shortly before it fell to our own.
The RNS fleet appeared to want to involve itself in the renewed Gold Rush, and Dublin was soon rather full. We decommissioned the Manchot, Chouette and other capital vessels, and one of their Cougars caught a SNAC of mine.
I also duelled a Lynx who was scouting out New London - seems I have picked up a few skills from all this fighting.
For Dublin once more, we had a Corsair cruiserterrorising the miners. A group effort saved the civilians, before we moved to the Essex. There, an AI Core Vessel was hanging around and proved uncooperative. Although it got one of ours, we damaged it enough to require being re-uploaded somewhere else.
Sweeping the fields alone, I found two Corsairs in a Titan and Praetorian. They tried to get the drop on me with a SNAC shot as soon as I read out their crimes, but the shields took the blast and I soon returned the favour to both of them. The same two tried to get revenge much later as I was on the way to defend Leeds and seemed a bit more proficient. However, I bested each of them once again.
Of note from that invasion was the presence of... a large 'Gallic' Nomad. Maybe the rumours were true about their influence after all...
Last but not least, a Molly gunboat attacking Bethlem and a hunter near Trafalgar and attacked in return.
I heard mention from Havering that I may be in line for some sort of commendation. I don't know if I am ready to be a war hero, especially after talking to Goo- eh, thinking on it.
Anvil transfers - 12Rather lacking here, but everything is being used for the CDI
Other events
I later found a lone Corsair Freighter. He was actually cooperative enough to pay a fine and be ejected to Omega-5.
Babysat DSE's scanning/jumping Carrier, the Bouncing Betty as it gathered coordinates in New London and Leeds.
The Natural.Flame, who fought alongside our forces to defend Smallwood from the Corsairs, was transferring to the Taus and asked for a police escort - I provided one.
G-Force, a jumpship and the Junker supplying him with fuel were caught in Manchester. Surprisingly (at least, for a change) they cooperated and paid all the relevant fines.

Incoming Transmission from Southampton Shipyard, New London system.

Junior Constable Miller, first report.
Initiating my patrol today, I swept down as far as Manchester before returning to New London. Sweeping all of the lanes in both system, no contacts were found. Proceeding to Cambridge, I looped from the jump gate to the Planet, then to Cardiff past the Norfolk.
At this point I was contacted by Chief Inspector Page, regarding an escort detail for the IMG|Lea.Evanz, whom I mistakenly identified as male (she's a woman, apparently). Chief Inspector Page accompanied Ms Evanz from Leeds as far as Planet Dover, at which point I took over the escort assignment and continued to Cortez. I departed at the California jump gate.
Following this, Inspector McAllister of the CCDBlack Marsh set up a cargo inspection checkpoint at Southampton, while myself and Chief Inspector Page continued to run a sweep of Dublin. We separated here, and ran a patrol of one half of the system each.
Inspector McAllister then notified us of a pair of transports who were intending to breach the Tau blockade with Silver Ore. I returned to New London, where I was able to intercept both - Draexico and ERICLRICH_Transport - at the Leeds jump gate. Each were charged $1.5m for a temporary permit, and advised to purchase a Tau Trade license.
Continuing to Leeds, Chief Inspector Page sighted a Cardamine smuggler, but was unable to stop him due to the criminal's head-start. My Hussar's more nimble engines were able to chase toshle down and stop him in his tracks with a disruptor. Inspectors Page and McAllister arrived shortly after, at which point we imposed a $2m fine and confiscated his cargo for impounding.
In other news, I was contacted by a "Chenzo" of the 101st Outcasts, who wanted me to pass a message on to HQ. He believed that the "CL}" group of Outcasts were going to cause trouble for Bretonia in the same way as the "XTF" had. I suggested that due process of law and order required evidence before action, at which point he told me you would be able to contact him on the neural net. I'll leave that in your capable hands.
Systems patrolled: 4.
Law breakers stopped: 1.
Fines received: $5m.
Ant DaPilla reporting a incident in the Leeds system.
I began my patrol in New London and made my way to Leeds. After exiting the tradelane at Planet Leeds, I spotted a Gaian gunship heading from Newcastle to Dublin. I followed, keeping watch on him while I called for backup. Once in Dublin, he ran to Battleship Hood, where he sat and waited. Hood seemed to have no problem with the gaian and allowed him to dock when HMS reinforcements arrived. This may need some clearing up with the IMG.
After dealing with him, I made my way back through the jumphole to Leeds where I found two liners trying to sneak ore across the blockade. When hearing of the Tau Trading License they were enraged. A Intercourse Commerce transport came by and I asked him to stop. I told him that if these two didn't pay the fine it would be in his best interest to stick around and collect the ore. Of course, he was willing. After arguing with the liners for another few minutes they engaged their cloaking devices and disappeared. (They F-1'd)
