' Wrote:I think, that even after war against Kusari, Bretonia still to huge pice of cake for corsair's mouth.
Just for example- Corsairs determin to strike Cambridge. They moved 75% of their forces to Omga 5 and then launched attack.
Even there, they could encouter hessians cooperating with SCRA forces, who arent blind and has their inteligence and recon units. Probably, there will be first loses. Second option will be strike from back, after Corsairs engaged BAF. Dont forget about Mollys. They will rise for fight against Corsairs, no dobut in that.
There no options to invade House space and base here. Presence of Corsairs will be strong uniting factor for defending forces. In general, we will have BAF, RH, probably SCRA, Molly and some mercs, against Corsairs, and probably Gajans. Not an option at all.
Lets check Dublin.
Molly, BAF, IMG and bret civil. Assaulting Battleships................
But not bad option to strike Molly base there. Base not so far from JH to Omega 49, so if something goes wrong, retreat wont be long. But this wont be expansion. It will be like hit and run. Fast, unexpected strike and fast retreat to avoid encouter with larger force. Otherwise, time will work against them.
Same with Rheinland. Just to mention, that RM not in such deep <strike>sh</strike> crap, like BAF. Together with Hessians... Corsairs has no chances against them at all.
Omegas... More likely to strike.
In my opinion, corsairs can strike those remoted bases in Omega 3.
Cadiz can provide main supply for striking force and shelter, when they need to fall back. Posibility, to encouter house military there will be less- bases are far from JG, and bring forces to Omega 3 will takes some time for them.
Still, this how I see this question in RP.
Dont know why exactly you mix up corsairs and outcasts with other crminals. The power of both factions are unmatched with any other. Hessains have thier own programs to execute, and SCRA .. I dont care... Whose molly... And BAF engaged and pinned with gallic force.. So from where see No problem of corsair invasion.
Well, there was number of in-RP capital ships of Bretonia. How many capital ships has Corsairs in RP ?
Note, that im not talking about all indy capital ships flying around Crete and other nearby omicrons and omegas. Exacly in-RP fleet.
Dont think, that more than BAF got.
Still, Im talking about EXPANSION- WAR CAMPAIGN. Its not just a raid. Victory/Defeat- both forces returning back to their bases. So, noone restricting you to fly even to New London, kill/being killed in simple raid.
However, its just point of view.
Oh and about Hessians, SCRA, Molly and BAF fight against Corsairs. There is one saying: Of two evils choose the least. In this situation- Corsairs will take role of bigger evil. You will ask why?- Simple. Corsairs are strong enough to be it.
corsair expansion could be limited to bases under construction in all of the areas... slap them in the middle of asteroid fields, so only snubs can reach them, and have them with limited facilities - i.e. repair, but no bots/bats/guns/missions/bribes
Base need to build. In that way, corsairs can build one more stationar Osiris and place it somewhere in....................................................Omega 3, surrounded by 5-6 weapon platforms. I think its possible. Somewere in asteroid field or nebular, better in asteroid field, which is in nebula.
The whole Bretonia-Corsair battle in Cambridge today should be proof that it's time for the Corsairs to start expanding into Bretonia.

and he is very right about that
Yeah, I'm hoping that this keeps up. It'd be nice to see a Corsair base in Cambridge in the next version.
