It's not like it's a +1 to your post count. It literally hurts no one, and me personally, I like replies on my topics to bump them and make more people see them and reply, so what's the harm in a quick little recruitment post on a welcome thread?
I think it's the attitude that everything must be a certain way that's the bigger irritance here. If it's not causing you physical harm, MYOB. If it's causing you emotional harm, I think you need to get your head checked, because this is a game.
My answer to above is just below this text. Putting a BIT more thought into it would explain a few things, not just. "Hey do this or join that." ..

I didn't say it should be banned, at all, and while I don't mind people who do one liners, it would be much nicer if the person would me more informative especially to the new players/people who come here. And the people posting there represent our community to new people as well, so try to be nice and a bit more helpful for the sake of everyone.
