In [Convoy] we killed even Cruisers with our Shires. It's a pirate's nightmare.

I might try the Uruz next, since it has 12 turrets, firing 360° aswell, like the Shire.

Don't do what most battratransport-captains I met do, and think you are invincible. You still have that transport shield, and a full-kraken sabre takes that down with ease, leaving your hull (which isn't even that amazing) open.

PTranses are the ships, which are the most vulnerable against escort bombers.

Also, skilled transport pilots can of course fight of regular bombers, and with a CAU8 Bison, which is just shooting chainfire Type 3's and in the meanwhile running to a base, as well as spamming WASD, the bomber just isn't able to take the Transport down.

Totall Valid and accepted. But people wont pay for a Cau 8 on a Transport which takes alot of cargo space, that means giving away around 1 bil, to stop piracy.
By the way, if transport is using WASD to dodge, just press Ctrl + T and go near then Snac it.

Well...if the Shire has a big advance about the number of its turrets, the Uruz could be the best choice. Just for sure, the bomber is another thing, since that can kill any kind of traders easily, however I had some interactions with them on my bombers, and they could escape sometimes. Maybe that was my fault, but I cant see the difference between Shire and Uruz at the moment.

The Bison is a fine ship, but about that bug...well not the best choice from my side. Maybe the Uruz or the Shire...

If you plan on using that Transport long-term, it might be profitable in the end. Also, a CAU7 for less then half the price should do pretty much the same job; it was an example.

By the way, if transport is using WASD to dodge, just press Ctrl + T and go near then Snac it.

The amount of damage a bomber could take might let the pirate reconsider. Also, you can always try to quick-change the direction a bit so you don't get hit. Dodging the one or other SNAC should be possible that way.

Uruz is better....its not so easy to CD it like Shire....
Btw....if bomber cant hit you from back...he will try it from side(biger profile less chance to avoid)
But...if i have to say....this is better than BT.
i have one of these allmost half year and noone has CDted me ....never..and i get pirated 3-4times per day.
TCD, Reinforced.......nothing can stop it cruising. Of Course...it cant defend himself.

It is not true- harder to CD but not impossible , you need like 1k less then the other transps and shooting from the side, otherwise the CD hits the back of the ship and the engines are front of it so it does not get in the explosion range, you met only nub pirates good sir. About the cau8 Battletransps- they give you exactly 15k-20k with a bit of luck(light bomber), 10k if you are against heavy GB with pulses,5k if you meet dual nova barghest blowing your shield thruster and guns with the second volley of torpedoes.

Wraga- get perceron or the new IMG miner ship, put a cau8 on it and watch single pirates in bombers and transps failing, only GBs can get you or 2 pirates, other options with more cargo but not with the same efficiency are Geisha ,Kamome and Luxury yacht, haven't tested the new Renzu liner too but it has a lot of hull and looks promising- still will fail vs Novas but good chance against Ptransp or GBs- more testing needed.

Well, thanks for the information, I never had that type of ship before. However I trying to find a trader ship for fight against pirates. I had a lot of pirate chars before, and I would like to try the other side. I have transport to make money already, so at this time I would like to trade/fight for fun and RP purposes.
