I don't mind NPCs using regens, but their ability to use shieldbatteries one at a time over and over, to restore their shield just above nothing so it'll absorb all the damage of the following shot is absolutely frustrating to anyone who uses weaponry with a slow refire rate (or even a snac), and needs to go.
The only bad thing about NPC regens is that they are farmed making the fights even longer, you have problems to kill them? Train more- people tend to kill them fast enough in order to use their bots before they could use them.

Especially if you have lag, so you hit them with like 100 shots, and it only takes the one shield battery's worth they regenerated.

NPCs where always cheaters. They using turret steer and can fire on you with turret that can fire only backward, they using 1 bat/bot not many as players do, so killing em with less then 3.0 is harder, they dodging like hell and they have endless powercore. but they just dont show up if player count is big. so they not a problem/help for attackers/defenders in Gamma raids for example.
yeah I agree with you that NPCs are cheaters but we all know that Disco is not Eve Online or some other game with 50.000 or 200.000 players:(just only with about 200 and without npcs systems will be realy empty without lif:wacko:e
Dont see problems with NPCs... they are easy to kill and indeed, without them, systems would be lifeless.
About their streight......thats ok. Single NPC ship should be much powerfull, than same player's one. Snubs NPCs are fine to be stronger, because they have limited maneuvers, while you can fly in any way. With NPCs caps a bit difficult....not about powercore, but a bit bugged movements. In some missions, I saw many missions, when Legates were rotating like hell in space, with high speed....
Oh, and sry about a bit off top, but still, why Osirises patrols were removed from Omi eta system ? This fact was last point to sell my MNS Drd.

As far as I remember they were deleted right because of OC capspam in Eta killing Ossies and collecting cash more then mining does. if this aint true, I quite interesting why there were always at least one MNS ship in Eta before we had 86, and now there is no caps at all most of the time.

At least some players had what to do, than lolraiding taus day up to day...
