Tau 37 will connect to Omicron 81. Omicron 81 then in turn connects to Alpha. So yes, on both counts. It will take a lot longer for folks hostile to either Corsairs or Outcasts to sneak into Alpha/Gamma respectively.
Quote:Any news on what your gonna do with player bases in that system?
Presumably keep them near the objects they are currently next to?
Devs cannot touch playerbase coordinates. I'm assuming player bases are linked to a specific system ID, and coordinate set inside those systems. So no, they will not be moved by me in case a jumphole or base location changes. Jumpholes in-lore are not static objects anyway, they can phase align or de-align (become inactive). Oh, and Zeta is nobody's home system. Order's guard system is Omicron 100, Core's home is Omicron Rho (/Omega 56). All the elements currently present in the system remains, just rearranged. And you are being warned of system changes: All this is for 4.87 which is still likely a few months away.
As for Cape Wrath or any other storyline requests: Contact Friday. I only fix up systems that have bugs or are of poor quality (encounter, trade shortcut, size or patrol wise). Storyline changes or requests need to go past the storyline lead - once he approves them, if they require systems changes, I will implement them.

Well if your going to be moving around things that player bases have been specifically build next to it would seem rather strange for the admins to not relocate the base next to that object.
Although, I suppose this is an admin issue more than a dev issue...
So no worries.
And we have been Role-playing Zeta as our home system for just over half a year now.
Further more... The edits to Zeta sound fitting, it has always lacked the "war-zone" activity that it was supposed
to have and hopefully shoving BHG Core next to it and making the entire place smaller will help this.
Perhaps the Iota cloud fields could also get some "channels" cut through them as well to help those
Mawduks get to us a little easier?
Edits in Bold:
Sorry for being a little cranky.
Keep up the good work.
You did not read my posts then. The Iota hole is not inside the roidfield, but only covered by nebula. Same with the Core system entrance. There is an exclusion path from the Order base towards the Iota hole for caps to follow, and a few others along the trade paths (check the minimap if you need to find those).
Dev update:
- Started work on making Gallia more fun to play in. Which means: Shrinking the place down, removing a LOT of weapon emplacements, and reorganising the systems to create a few piracy bottlenecks. Also the NPCs need to get a tune-down (meaning that like most Sirian systems, the NPCs are fairly easy in the capitol world, but get harder as you move further away from it). This is a major project and will likely take a while. There are some 20 systems involved in this, of which at least 15 need to be partially redesigned.
- I've changed the Kronos back to the Zephyr model after a poll showed a large majority of the players prefer that model. It's up to the balance guys to determine the stats of that little thing.

I understood what you meant about Zeta...
I was talking about Iota.
Iota clouds = "clouds in iota"
The 99 JH and Zeta JH in Iota are in the centre of roid fields.
Can you consider removing bunch of gallic systems in order to make it more compact and playable?
If you are gona make Gallia piratable remove all of the weapon platforms everywhere because they make no sense.
If Gallia does not lose at least half of its systems the situation wont be much different.
Dead space that is visited only to get some base supplies.
I noticed that Eta/Lambada is still in the Mod even when both Corsairs and Outcasts wanted it removed while Sigmas become their battleground.
I suggest asking their official factions again if you haven't done it.
Why you make buffer zones instead adding stationary battleships- one good equipped stationary battleship can be as effective as level 4 base blocking hole if it is put on the right spot with the right guns, it is more practical way to block the capital system rides like that instead of adding useless minutes of flying in empty space for everyone. The defenders would have significant advantage of home ground so the riders would think twice before attacking them in their capital system. One of the best examples for good existing safe zone is Texas and the Dread and planet there- in between Liberty enemies would have huge disadvantage and the defenders huge advantage. Copy that with Crete and Malta, add one stationary cruiser at all holes in this systems with mediocre guns like the stationary Scyllas that wont be brutal versus riders but would provide advantage for the defenders and this systems would be nice playground.
This approach would attract more people in Liberty only because players prefer to interact with other players instead of flying in empty space.
More dead end systems especially in the double systems that serve the same purposes- make Kepler Gate to Kusari to go poof pr even better- remove the lines there, sabotaged by Rogues so Gallileo receives more activity.
The concerns that make a lot of trouble in 4.86 is the huge number of systems and the small number of players, my impression was that players and devs want less systems in order to have more interaction.
What systems would be removed in 4.87 from the existing ones? Would the mod become even more systems then now?
My concerns in in one sentence is that this changes wont help the mod but would make it more boring and with less players. I cannot see any improvement in this. http://www.flserver.de/getgraph_singlesrv....;timeframe=year
You does not need to believe me on that- just look at the facts. 197 Systems for average 102 Players make make around 2 systems per player. The conclusions from this are more then clear.

This is good to hear, should give the unlawfuls and... raiders a chance to do their job.

Hopefully it'll be balanced into the light snub carrier/long-range cap support/jumpship we're hoping for.

And yey Gallia got shrunk!
I meant the nebula of the Iota hole in Omicron Zeta. Aside from fixing a few buggy patrol paths in Iota, no changes are planned there.

Eta is a nice spot for people who want to engage in NPC anti capital missions. I'm leaving it in for that reason, but the Sigmas (mainly Sigma 13) will become an alternate battleground. This gives people a choice. As for Gallia, just wait until stuff is done before starting complaints, aye?

Gamma already have it. In RP there is no way to reach Gamma without being spotted/attacked/whatever by Corsair forces first.
In pure RP terms O41 is such buffer, same with Lambada and Theta.
In RP the BS Fes-"the only one Osiris in corsair hands in RP" in O 47 should protect the hole to O 41. Leon Patrols should protect O5 combined with Cadiz Fleet and Skiros station is build near the Theta hole to protect it/block the enemies-read the infocard. Lambada and Eta also have the same function with Etna base blocking the hole in RP together with 2 Lambada Bases. Only Kappa hole is not covered by something, but in RP Kappa should not be dangerous for Corsairs. They got Yaren forward post in Delta to counter BHG that according to the infocard should receive more ships etc.
In Pure RP terms it should be not possible for riders to reach Gamma easy, RP is a lot different then game reality.Anyway without riders Gamma would be boring, still some "homeground advantages" would be nice.
AD- thumbs up for making Gallia smaller and useful.
About Lambada/Eta- the same missions could be made in Gamma/Alpha-this systems are not wanted since 4.85, I suggest asking again the public option about them and you would see that 95% of the players want them to go away unless they are too vital for the trading balance/ Corsair/OC war balance somehow.
