I am for a split even though I am fairly certain that the LWB as it is in the AGS now will not be able to be active enough for an official faction. Unioners I am unsure about though also not really 100% expecting it to survive.

Still, as it is now the Unioners and LWB are just too different to stay together and especially the diplomacy of both factions are negatively affected by the current situation as the dominant one (as in the one with the most active players) of the two kinda takes away the independence of the other one.

I favour a split, following most of the suggestions above. I think AGS was a good idea and a rather unique faction which was a nice addition to previous versions of Discovery, but with the new trends in diplomacy it's not going to work out that well any more.

Also, yes, get it figured out now and don't stop until it's completely finished - particularly if it's going to affect how Devs treat the two npc factions. 4.87 work is already in the pipeline so it's all a matter of doing it sooner, not later.

On a more serious note; split the factions, make it more lucrative to be Synth player in 4.87 to encourage LWB players to... play

I am for the splitting, since it didn't have much iRP sense merging the both factions back then either. The only point back then was that both faction will keep the officiality because the activity...

I dont like the sight that the AGS is mostly flown by unioners and the LWB is kinda forgotten. The problem is just the question whether there will come a new active LWB faction, what I doubt it will happen.

People are writing here about the synth foods, but regretably the main enemy of the LWB is often missing...


Anyway, make it as it was before and we will see what will happen...

I am for split. I am not a fan of the current situation. I don't like doorpost connection to solve activity problems. These two factions are not connected in rp, and shouldn't be doorpost either.

LWB-Unioners never made sense to me for many reasons. Question is whether said thing happens, will LWB still be able to use Unioner shipline they share for so long now? Without their own tech and purpouse (active Synth Foods like) they wont be popular faction.

In all cases it is lose-lose situation.
Speak with Devs make sure that both factions receive some real in-game reality connected reason to exist then split them in 4.87. Split them now and watch them having activity problems and eventually losing its officialism.

Official faction players that are often accused of elitism, never deploy them and have those weird, immersion killing "fair fight/dueling" suicidal hobbies. (yes, i've seen enough of those lolduels, where house military with overwhelming force on the field willingly loses a pilot in a duel. ffs.)
