Balance exists for a reason.
Ship must have nearly the same "quality" as the other ships of the same class, this is one of Disco's fundamentals.
And claiming that "The ship is not so incredibly bad if you use it only in X and Y situations" is wrong.

This might be true for fighters, capital ships are meant to be "diffrent".
Cruiser class is large enough, and ships there has their own advantages and disadvantages. From fast and small BHG Destroyer, which can dodge enemy fire with easy, to RM Cruiser, which is rather for tanking, than dodge.

Team fight? Where did you find this word?
I want say that we always flying together and i want say that team fight - this is nightmare for GRN cruiser, like duel.
He will not survive even with valors wall and fighter cover. This is all already tested.
So your words only in theory can say that he is bad in pvp fights, but good in team fight.
THIS IS BIG LIE.
in team fight he will be first who will die from enemy fire, even under cover of Valors.
So please, stop talking about your ideas which you never tested and about ships, which you never used in this fights.

Because Im killing those cruisers.
And I DO HAVE seen team work involving GRN cruiser. However, it's other story.
Alright, back to topic...If you would have an option...to change positions of heavy weaponry slots, like it was on 85, where you could put weaponry in slot, which is better to you.
So where would you put heavy slots?
Still, I have to agree, having nice arcs for heavy turrets give nice bonuce.
firs off all
it must has - he must be resized to cruiser size,or has bigger core with this size.
when we will chose what it will be - we can talk about arcs, for now - talking about arcs, when we dont know what it will be type of unit - is a nonsense.
but i think, better move it to BC group of ships. Many things about this. But he has no chance with his agility and his type of size(even resized) for normal fight with Bret dessie or LABC.
But when it will has core 3.6 mil and some more interesting positioned arc - he will has some chance in fight.
If gallia has only heavy ships - then i think better to move it to BC group.
About arcs - need to talk later. But i have point about this, with balance and Gallia style of fight.
This ship should be battle-cruiser, also the bret dessie should not use the bigger cruiser core but the medium one and get its additional 4,86 gun removed so it could be 9 gunner again, it would reduce it OPness since the bret dessie is Thresher/Hatchet class size-wise.
In 4.85 it was not a issue since the Hatchet was extremely overpowered and there was no TS/Zoom and Scylla always sucked like now as well.
But the pattern exists and could be found in Valor as well- extremely stupid heavy battleship with idiotic arcs.

yes! YES! m8!
i know that you love him! Thats why dont want fly in GRN,when i asked you.
You said that GRN GB and Cruisers sucks. This is was your words. So PLEASE stop spam here about his perfect setup for this cruiser. All already tested.
He has no chance.
your argumentation is fail.
firepower doesnt mean number of guns, firepower mean - core for fight and good positioned arcs, even with 2 turels. 4 bad arcs will not give good firepower, even if they are all forward.
-Tested.
and moving in fight 3 k? okay, you will take it and will fly on it...fight with any ship on any distance in battle,i want to look on it.

This thread is about the Galic cruisers not the Bret dessi. The ship is good as long as its "captain" command it well. I know destroyers which can die with ease and destroyers which can kill 2 cruisers without loosing a single bot. Its all up to the player but sadly the good ones are very rare.
You cant nerf a ship, which is considered as good as it is, just to make another ship to look "powerful". If there is a problem with the gallic caps - it comes from the model/size/weapon arcs/stats and maneuverability. All these stats were adjusted by the devs and only they will do a change if its really necessary.
To continue pointing another ships just to make the GRN cruiser look stupid will lead to nowhere. Start with the reasonable and possible buffs for that cruiser without to involve ships from different factions which have totaly different issues with their caps.
Start with the reasons behind the GRN cruiser: Its heavy support cruiser, backbone of the Gallic Royal Navy, Escort defense for the Valors and nothing else.
Sorry Fallen Knight but you are really wrong here. Bret Dessie is so good because of 4,85 Hatchet OPness. Now Hatchet is nerfed and Bret dessie buffed via 1 gun more, more bots and TS that suits the form perfect, the ship is Thresher with big hole in the middle of the hitbox that turns a bit slower, heavy cruiser core and impossible to hit side profile perfect for TS. Balancing this to cope with Battle-cruiser sized cruiser is not possible, even if you give the gallic brick the same stats as LABC in groups bret dessies will still dominate over it.
For me the fix is simple, make the bret Dessie 9 gunner with medium core, give the gallic brick 2 more cruiser guns and full arc of its heavy guns, keep the huge size and mediocre manoeuvrability as drawback, so both ships would fit their roles.
Destroyers are supposed to be smaller with less fire-power but good in evading, the cruisers should have more fire-power but with big size and slower manoeuvrability.
The bretonian dessie is destroyer with cruiser power-core that can evade easy-the whole concept of the ship is wrong.
