Ye, cus it absolutely doesn't have anything to do with the fact you've been flaming people with numerous alts regulary which is why little appreciate you posting on the forums.
Ye.
At any rate, removing the right of Military IDs to blow up unlawful traders will only generate frustration. Police IDs have the advantage of TLAGSNET but that's not really the real issue. In house smuggling is quite dead and most pirates they encounter nowadays are Pirate Cruisers. A LF will hardly have any use against that except CDing/catching up but they'd need something to catch in the first place.
Mining and Lawful trading are simply more profitable and easier in general, as that's where most organised moneyfarms are. The player base recently going down in numbers will certainly not help but yet it's not difficult to understand that any properly organised group will be attractive and that will be where new players will want to go.

They can fly up to cruisers - so what the problem?
That's mostly what the LPI official faction encourages at least. Indies aren't restricted, however they are not given any specific reason to make a cruiser or vhf as LPI because they'll be able to do less than they can as LN. The choice is easy to do. This works for all five houses.
Well, as long as official military/navy faction steals policing duty from their actual police factions, the problem will remain.
As for the trade faction, in a nutshell, they are all the same. Either the RP laws should outline what each corporations is authorised to transport to make them distinct or some kind of gameplay aspect rewarding proper commodity transportation.

The only thing they can't do is to fly Dreads and Carriers.
Other then that nothing is limiting you to spam bombers or cruisers or combined or fighters of any sorts. Weapons and ships are the same.
Just no one wants to be a space cop. That's the problem. It's not interesting because people don't see LPI in space doing something interesting.
Then we are getting back to my first post, tech and ID have nothing to do with lack of activity. Blame leaders of LPI.
Caps are the thing nowadays. Real RP is quite dead and it's been more about /l1 for months. The player base changed quite a lot, police factions aren't appealing to these new players. There's not much you can do about it really, neither can the police official factions.

We all know that trade factions are usually made of people who are there for fun. Because if you need cash it's easier to be an indi since it's same profitable and less attractive without that shiny faction tag. Also balance is never balanced so if you'll make factions transport limited list of goods then it will reneder 95% of them dead since only 5% will be granting max profit because of specific commodity combination to routes.

Good thing we're actually went down to the understanding of this! *Le me claps*
Since for years administration team and certain members were spitting on the RP and fairplay the very few of those who cared of those are left.
Achivement unlocked, you've gained a pure playerbase now full of gankers and caps where is /l1 RP overwhilming everything.

That's true. Silly of me even thinking in this direction.
One should not be punished in such case. The reward of matching commodity to corporation should be given somehow.
Ivan (Mentira) if someone remember him had some nice catch on running Kishiro. Even then it was hard. But true is that running a trade faction is a real challenge. Since traders likes to stay indi and cry on forum about how pirates are cruel instead of trading in convoys and hiring mercs.
