On behalf of the GMG| player faction, I, the leader of the faction, would like to give you and the rest of our community a little bit of insight to our plans and schemes for the future. I'm sure that some if not all of you will have your own opinions and thoughts on how to proceed with this faction amongst many others, the following paragraphs will describe what we in the GMG| Board of Executives (read High Command) have decided how to go on and proceed with the development of our faction.
I believe that some of you may still remember what we in the GMG call the Kurile Incident, when GMG expanded their operations into Sigma-17 with the attempt of annexing planet Kurile (Read more about that, here), which in turn led to an almost full out war between Kusari and the GMG (gears in motion), with a lot of fighting and activity for all sides involved. Much needed activity, at least for the GMG| side.
And it has come to that again. The GMG| desperately needs activity, as our faction is barely clinging on to the top 10 most active factions on Disco. This time however, we're not aiming to conquer for some backwater planet in our backyard, but something more concrete. We plan to go to war, with not only Kusari this time, but warring Rheinland as well.
We've already started with the construction of a couple of POB's, some more finished than others. They are to act as our front lines and supply depots, supporting our advancing Paramilitary squadrons into both Houses. Our secretly built base in Frankfurt seems to be undiscovered as of this moment, and outfitted appropriately with weapon platforms to repel siege ships, in tandem with our bomber wings. Mannheim will probably be the attention of GMG strikes in the system, as well as the traffic flowing from Munich onward into Rheinland core space. The (unreasonable) Ultimatum from the GMG will be sent to the Rheinland authorities in a few days, with the War declaration following shortly after.
Our advance into Kusari will be handled more slowly, with caution and deception. We begin by nibbling at its toes only to swarm them when the time is right, swallowing them whole with our Paramilitary wings. Samura and their operations will become our prime targets (Nagano comes to mind), and if our so called "friends" of the Kishiro-controlled government refuse to support our actions and condemn them instead, full-out war will most likely become inevitable. Our bases that are to be used as offensive outposts in this war are still classified and their locations secret.
This thread will be open for feedback from the community, so please air your thoughts. Though don't assume that we'll change our plans only because you think we should. We've put a lot of time and effort into all this, and very little will persuade us to do otherwise.
