I don't take any PvP balance in account here, since I have not the expertise to do such.
I am going to repeat my question first:

I did ask this, because if that was the case you could easily fly whole trade routes with minor stops to restock the ammo without having to interact with anyone.
A Zoner Whale could basically sacrifice less than 1/10 of his cargo space to be "unpiratable" vice versa a smuggling transport could become "untouchable" by lawfuls if he sacrificed 450 cargo space.
Since I believe there was no price named yet (or I missed it) for the ammo, I hope the price is adjusted well enough to prevent that or the sell locations are indeed limited - well, or something else is in place, which I am not aware of.
On another note I feel like this change doesn't do much for freighters, since the cargo-space you'd have to sacrifice would still be way too much to make it even a viable option for freighter pilots (200 cargo space is more than 1/3 on almost every freighter), it's obviously a better alternative than it is now, but I feel it is still too much of a trade-off considering the general low profit you can make with a freighter to begin with.
To be fair: probably noone flies a freighter to min-max his income, but I wanted to mention it nonetheless.
I understand that cloaks are generally used for PvP activities, but I thought I might still throw in my two cents with a perspective on activities aside of PvP.

tl;dr: Might be too strong for transports (especially as bigger the cargo gets), still not really a viable option on freighters aside from pure RP-freighters.

Just a sidenote, the larges transport (apart from the Zoners) that actually can mount a cloak is the Serenity ( Firefly ) , which is atm either used by smugglers/pirates , like myself, or freelancers/building up corporate traders ... and doesn't make as much profit as a 5k-er...

That is not true.
The I'Ane (4k) has a CM slot for example. I'm too lazy to look through every transport to name more if there are more. I took the Zoner Whale just as the most extreme example anyways.
But that doesn't even really matter since the main point is that this change as it is right now and if there are indeed no preventions will make it easy for quite a few transports to avoid interactions completly while still hauling considerable large amounts of cargo.
I remember when cloaks were all new and shiny, I bought a Zoner whale when I made my very first large cloak, and traded hfuel and deuterium with it all across Sirius.
Back then, one unit fuel was equalling one second of cloak time. I think I had it either called Invisible.Infinity or Forced.Neutrality. Fun times.

Just add more cloak types.
The ammo idea is good but it is not possible to balance it out with so little cloak types. With this update you fix the small ship cloaks while breaking the bigger ships cloaks.
I does not like that every trader could opt out its CM for cloak without loosing cargo space for fuel(batteries) or armour. It is another huge trader survivability buff. The trade-off for getting more cargo space for profit or getting more cargo space for survivability was great and should stay in.
If we have separate cruiser/battlecruiser/battleship/transport cloaks this issue could be addressed.
I personally think that the military ships should sacrifice some poweroutput for having the option of longer cloak times- so additional cloak type that nerfs the powercore but offers slightly longer cloak time and slightly shorter charger would be good idea.
Each class should have at least 2 types of cloak, one with long charge reasonable cloak time and cheap cloak batteries and one with short charge, small cloak time and very expensive cloak batteries.
Special ships like order Reckon Cruiser should have their own specific cloak that have at least 30 min cloaking time- nerf other things on the ship to compensate. If the thing would continue to be on CM you can increase its cargo so it could mount 2-3 cloaks.
There should be some anti-cloak sonar that uses the same slot system and some battery system.
