Have you never thought that the wilde guy, InRP, could be posing as an LSF/BDM etc agent? They have access to Nomad equipment. What i don't get that everyone uses the equipment as an excuse to pew when said factions have access to them and will use them. Yeah, i under stand if you've got a nomad shield/thruster/mines then yeah, fair game because the LSF etc don't have access to those. But come on, it doesn't have to be:
"Oh he's got Nomad equipment"
*Checks ID*
"IT'S A WILDE! ENGAGENBUNG!"
But the thing is people like to declare an undercover wild agent with NO nomad equipment and straight out military pure tech as a straight Wild pilot and it should die in that second. Is it that hard to RP with it? Is it that hard to ask questions and try to make the wild pilot say something that would give him away? That's the thing i don't get.
I also hate it when people use the excuse "IDs are in RP, Wild ID is fair game". COME ON. IDs being in RP is stupid, especially with the wild ID. It gives away all undercover purpose and all potential RP that can be had from it. InRP, what is an ID? What do you scan on the ship that gives away the exact identification of the ship? It's the same with Pirates. "Oh, it's a pirate. RUN AWAY NO RP". Why don't you look at the IFF and RP him as a Freelancer or what ever his IFF is?
If a wild pilot is in a Bergy Bomber, with Rheinland Military tech, NO nomad tech at all (Including cloak), never uses nom speak and has no tag on his "Transponder", what reason do you have, InRP, to attack him on sight? I see none to be honest.
As Conrad said, hardily anyone has InRP knowledge of the Nomads and more so the Wild so how would they know about it? Military/Secret Services/Spy Services wouldn't release it to the public because, again InRP, it would upset every single civilian and they would not trust their government because they have been infiltrated.

I just wanna add that Rheinland in particular would heavily publicise and warn against the Nomads. You cant explain why multiple fleets, more then ten battleships, and multiple support craft, were up and exterminated. You cant justify that with no reason.
If your Rheinlandic, in my opinion, it's a damn good chance you are aware ofNomads.
Liberty and Bretonia most likely keep
it a secret, Kusari is iff due to the loss of their fleets to Rheinland...
Gallia knows nothing. Hence why the Nomads can more easily infiltrate them - there's no real knowledge or defense.
Flipside....Rheinland was heavily infiltrated. Can you really justify to me INRP how Rheinland hasnt warned it's citizens after such an act?
Not metagaming, but expect a rather hostile response from most of them.

Because it also makes a lot of sense to induce fear in the population while preaching about an invisible enemy, who could be hiding behind your neighbour.

Then how do they explain the destruction of multiple fleets AFTER Kusari was curbstomped?

What about LSF, MND, BIS and KPT using Nomad guns? *worry*[/color]

the entire IFF and a lot of specific behaviours inhibited by Wild players over the years is just one huge give-away.
I'd kinda expect that answer from the big glorious Order leader. The IFF is just a broken transponder. I'm pretty sure that not everyone's IFF would be perfect? I'm sure that things break, InRP. Yeah, the Unknown iff can be associated with the wild but just remember that people can have transponders that have stopped working or are broken, hence the unknown IFF.

So you're going to accuse all Non wild agents with nomad guns as infected? It seems to be that this doesn't happen and it's only an excuse to shoot wild players.

I don't think so. Of course if players have odd guns or equipment (not the adapted ones that are growing common for house intelligence agencies) on their ships, they should be subject to scans as well, just like unlawful equipment is against various houselaws and indeed scannable. Just like contraband is as well, even if my character claims he has a super-duper secret compartment.
If you are playing a super super covert infectee, why not just go full civilian?
The nomad guns and gear should be a way of identifying infected people, otherwise the whole idea of having scanners just becomes nonsensical. It quickly becomes wild and infectees meta-gaming everyone else if they can claim that their stuff doesn't stand out as odd.

Yeah I understand but you wouldn't do it for Normal non wild agents. What I was on about was that people just love to shout "IT'S A WILDE. DIE" When you've got nothing to do with a nomad on your ship.
