like outlaw star said corsairs need base of operation outside of corsair base so they deploy carrier that can make many fighter snubs go out and pirate insted of useless drednaght that die to every cap
Corsairs already have a couple of strongholds, forward operation bases and friendly/neutral installations everywhere a Corsair would want to be.
but the ease of acces from big carryer will let corsairs spread thruogh system much more fastly and have big cap supirt instead of only four fighter snubs

Resource-rich space? So far all resource in Omicrons were Iridium and Alien Organisms (oh, and nomnom materials, for which so many people made Nephilims to hunt, like hunting down mankind's greatest enemy would be the most logical thing to do for space hippies in colony ships). Do you happen to know more about what the Nomicron update gonna bring us than the rest of us? Could you share a few details?
The Order as a powerhouse? Yes, they are high-tech, yet they just lost a whole planet to said greatest enemy of mankind in the recent years, and struggling to survive so much they are not afraid to accuse old allies of infestation simply because of lack of supplies. Something they won't really have much chance to continue as I've been hinted that Order might need to concentrate on their main goal now more than ever. Can they afford lending their technology to random people branded by the same word, "Zoners", because they all happen to live on the outer "Zones" of Sirius?
GMG as a powerhouse? Economically yes, diplomatically yes, they are kinda doing pretty well not to draw too much attention by not arming themselves needlessly. They can pull an other 80-year-maneuver anyways if needed. Why would they finance random people branded "Zoners" (see above) for building warships when they could just as well finance the Order, an actual set of professionals?
So what was your point with these alliances? Did you try to tell me technology and funds are pretty enough to spit out warships? Like manpower wouldn't even be a neccessity? Or simply that friends are all what you need and you can have everything? Order and GMG are allied to eachother too, but I don't see anybody trying to ask for GMG caps and then justify them with "being allied to a technological powerhouse".
Actually, I think I do know about the Omicron update, but that's another issue. In-game materials =/= lore about Omicron space anyway. It's the reason why people are out there.
Also, The Order is not struggling to survive. It suffered a defeat but now it's stronger than ever. I'll ignore the pro-TAZ rhetoric because it serves little purpose.
Enough funds buy labour and people. GMG doesn't want capitals.
I'm guessing the GMG doesn't finance Zoners, but Zoners finance Zoners and GMG consider it good business to take money and offer products. #capitalism
Anything I haven't addressed is a wait and see answer. Apologies, but yeah.

I laughed so hard at that.

Also no, no Carriers for Outcasts or Corsairs.
That should have better stuff to create one than the Order.
*Looks at Geb*
Ok. Explain. Why Order Carrier instead of Outcast/Corsair one? The Nomads can have like a 2.000.000 armored Carrier with 32 weapons on it too.
Because why not?
1.Because Corsairs and outcasts both have 2 battleships now.
2. Because Geb was once a BC, and was upgraded to Carrier
3.Because nommie cruisers and BSes are restricted to officials only, which is further restricted to top ranks
4.because people tend to Gank nommie ships, so making them OP would give them an edge
5.because Aleunz OP
In all seriousness though, the thread was about a Corsair carrier.
Now, the next 5 pages will be spent proving why your arguments are wrong.
Then, in a few weeks or maybe months, someone will pop up and accidentally say the word Zoner, and we'll go through all of this again.
It's been going on like that since 2008.
Quite sure there's been silence on that front.
It was about Corsair carriers until someone decided to fire a potshot across the bow? Originally I responded to the carrier thread though.
You weren't here back then, but before the QCP and [A] incidents (2010?) Zoners weren't really targeted much, but that's a lesson on Discovery history.
If faction X can have a carrier, I don't see why faction Y cannot. The thread was about faction Y getting a carrier, my argument was aimed at those claiming faction Y do not hold the resources, when clearly faction X have even less of those. Faction X is irrelevant at anything but adding perspective to faction Y. Can we let go of faction X for a brief moment?
EDIT: Or - seriously - make a pinned Zoner thread where people can take the discussion when it sneaks into other areas.
By the way, I saw Blodo gave answers to you directly regarding your GMG/alliance argument - in a thread from 2009. And again in 2010. It's probably happened many times since.
"X has, why shouldn't Y have too?" is just one approach, "Y has not, X is same strenght as Y, so it is logical that X should not have either." is an other, and that's where X becomes relevant. When you add it as a perspective.
"X has, why shouldn't Y have too?"
Maybe because X shouldn't have either, but X has since those times people gave less crap about RP than now. Or maybe it's just my expectations are too high and people still (or again) don't give a damn about RP at all.
