It should be RP > Rules. If you're a part of a faction that gets attacked by someone, you should damn well be able to engage him no matter what faction you are. They made it clear that they are hostile, so be hostile towards each other. It's bullshit that only one side would be able to engage while being openly hostile.

Zoner ID is good as it is ATM. People who are new (especially those who are new) should just read the ID.
Please stop trying to change the Zoner ID so often.

Yep, the id is fine as it is...Zoners are individually financial strong and have many options to ask for temporary escort and else...which also forwards RP immersion.
As far as my experience goes, the current Zoner ID is splendid.
There should be no fear of confrontation as a Zoner's mindset should be directed into avoiding confrontation altogether rather than thinking of the actual confrontation.
It is an RP encouraging ID, in my opinion, as it forces a zoner to prosper by interaction and communication which promotes activity and roleplay.

You can be pretty much anything you want, you only need to pick the correct ID representing yourself. Want to be a warmonger revengeful individual? Pick Xeno, Maquis, HF, Hessian, Rogue, whatever ID, these ones kinda allow that. But let's not be a man dressed as a girl and taking offense at being called transfestite, kay?
Anyway... what would be real incentive to other factions that Zoners would not possess then? In dark future of 9th century, there are only Zoner turf wars? What would be the reason for all other factions to not erase every Freeport in range immediately as soon the "curtain" of neutrality falls due to Zoner shenanigans against factions much superior to them in military might?

You should tell that to beginners, and especaily to them as all of your points are valid to people who have been here for longer lengths of time, You should also tell the people who do these atrocoties and attack new people who are not quiet familliar with how things work here, mainly the corruption via skype.
You want to equate yourself with your history and reputation with them? You must be joking here. @Thryluz, I thought you said that Indies have no real impact on diplomacy, Would you like me to qoute it for you? Wer'e talking about helping indies here, not factions who know full well that what they do gets back on them.
