The recent changes made all my mk2adv cloaks useless, as I used them on transports. I really think Admins should magically turn mk2adv cloaks located on transports into mk3 cloaks:
- the players had no influence on the changes of the cloak system;
- the players paid for those cloaks/made them to be used on transports, due to the changes, they lost a considerable amount of wealth;
- they most likely won't be able to sell those cloaks, as useless mk2adv cloaks will flood the market and no one will buy them;
- they will have to buy/make new cloaks, so they lose cash twice on this change (value loss of existing cloak, and the need to buy a new one).
The devs sometimes make changes that the Admins are unaware of. They are kind of secretive and mysterious like that. Or, they may have told us and we said, "Mhm. Sure. Sounds great," and then immediately forgot it.
What you are asking for requires effort. As you know, the Admins are a lazy, good for nothing sort of folk, who are not inclined to work unless there is no choice. We will deliberate on this, and get back to you with our decision. If we don't respond within a year, feel free to poke us again. We will have undoubtedly forgotten again.

When I saw that change I wondered about all the liners and salvagers I've seen with cloaks, which are now very much out of luck. Apparently, doing things that way was bad? (including myself).

@Garrett Jax - If someone in the green world would even *hint* it might be possible to SRP some slight changes to cloaks... I think I could swallow my stomach again pending some additional RP effort on my part, and let anyone who feels current cloaks don't suit them so well gain a bit of room to maneuver.
I also wonder, after this is trialed for a short time, if popular opinion sways against this new system, could there be a reverse in course?? I don't actually hate the 'ammo' concept, but it seems to me the new cloak set up is almost arranged to simply discourage use of cloaks altogether. What happened to working for something really exotic when it comes to equipment? I RP'd to gain access to new MOX points, I made a BASE to extend my own range, and mapped areas to get the best fuel sources charted. That was RP'ing to me. Now cloaking is harder for most, and everyone will only have snub cloaks because you can get ammo for them anywhere.

those cloaks ? and then live with it and delete our useless cloaks and just ignore the
