You can't even trade bots/resupplies in the carrier, either.
Stick shared ships on the carrier, have them logged off. Boom, instant flexible rapid-reaction force wherever the carrier happens to be.
Depends on whether or not docking modules are fixed yet though.
Also that 1 extra bomber cant drain a capitals Power Core like the Civ Carrier with full pulses can,and with the carriers power core it is a constant spam of EMP making the target cap unable to return fire.

Personally I still don't understand how Cody fell for that when he had a quickdock point stuffed up his nose. The video hasn't exactly cleared things up for me, either...
Civilian Carrier isn't meant to fight onto first line. No carrier is meant to fight in the first line.
Civilian Carrier is, in my opinion, a cannibalized liner-class vessel that would serve as a mobile supply platform, nothing else. As for other means, is just an (overpriced) RP item, like other Liners and, of course, Democritus.

It's like he froze up.....or just didn't see him coming
from straight above him....but as soon as I would have
seen Yoshida's(?) message, I would have docked instantly,
knowing something bad was coming, ya know?
I think he might have been close enough to the quickdock
point as you said....

He was in a cargo transfer when the bustard approached, or so I heard.
A small reminder, the docking bays were changed so now you cannot leave shared ships on them anymore.
