Finally some decent catch. Listening posts around the taus picked a vache moving around T23. Picked up a Pytho and moved to investigate.
Surprisingly enough, the guy appeared to be moving more or less from the Kyushu hole right towards T37 and had no cargo onboard. Following a perfunctory chat during which he was very cooperative, I did the only acceptable thing.
Pulse gun burst immediately followed by an AM discharge. Lasted maybe 3 seconds. Clean getaway.
At about midnight yesterday, listening posts noted an unusual increase in traffic around T23. Soon enough, it has been confirmed as Royal Police. At first, I suspected police gunboats projecting power in occupied space, but one junker pirate whose support I enlisted, insisted, that the said contacts were in fact cargo ships.
The plan was to intercept the now two-ship convoy as it would be crossing the short stretch between the Languedoc and T31 gates. He cloaked and waited near the installation while I hovered 15km above the equidistant point between the gates. After about a minute, the junker detected the convoy and disrupted its movement in the best location possible. At the same time, I closed in and made ready to engage.
What surprised both myself and my accomplice was the police ships' cargo - Typical insults asideboth vessels were full of the narcotic substance known as Nox., the enemy claimed, that the shipment was all confiscated merchandise and perfectly legal as far as Gallia was concerned. I can't help but wonder though - any police force in existence normally does its best to combat regulated substances trade - often by destroying such substances immediately following seizure. Why would police ships be carrying such large amounts out of Gallia?
Regardless, rules of engagement applied just the same. As per prior agreement - any loot resulting from the engagement would go to the junker. We demanded surrender, but the enemy refused and after a slightly clumsy fight - both the Vache and the smaller cargo ship were destroyed.
Immediately afterwards, we encountered a royal cruiser just off Java. It started firing at me almost immediately, but unlike most Royal cruisers I had the chance to fight - it was failing miserably. I am quite positive, that whoever was in command - never issued the no-brainer order of switching fire control mode. it would cease fire every time I'd get anywhere but right in front of it. It was still slow work, even using a waran. Curiously, the cruiser got help from a side I wouldn't normally expect - an IMG spatial started shooting at me without warning. The only possible clue as to its reason might be its ship name, very similar in terms of punctuation additives to that of the aforementioned cruiser. Luckily, he also was a poor fighter and lining up an accurate AM discharge proved gratifyingly simple. After that, it was just me, the junker and the cruiser. Following a few more minutes of relatively easy battle - it blew up too.
As a side note, i'd like to recommend investigating the most recent iteration of the Waran bombers (Or an indigenous modification thereof) as better alternative to Singapore-designed Pythos. Light bombers do not offer a tangible increase in terms of survivability, while comparatively having half the firepower - both sustainable and instant.
Now that the Iblis has been repaired and fitted with stealth systems, I hereby submit the report from its first cruise since the invasion.
At about noon today, friendly assets in Leeds reported some activity, suspected as GMS exploiting the field near occupied Stokes. Upon discreet arrival, no enemy assets were detected on-site or anywhere in the reasonable vicinity. Reluctant to loiter and attract attention, I withdrew to T31 to try and hopefully intercept traffic of opprtunity.
slightly north of Holman, a Bretonian fighter appeared, seemingly operating with the same goals as we were. Surprisingly, the ship started using known alien/heretic code in its transmissions. Taking no chances, I gave the order to engage and following a protracted chase fight, managed to eliminate the heretic spacecraft. On a side note, proximity-triggered ordnance is woefully ineffective in asteroid fields. Recommend replacement.
All that amidst professions of innocence, coupled with threats of diplomatic reprecussions. All too familiar and ineffective, considering both the 15th's experiences against irrefutably infested D9, as well as standing rules of engagement and recognition manuals.
Following that encounter, I moved back to FP's vicinity only to be harassed by what appeared to be Kusari Exiles designated as /Z/. The person who appeared in charge, in a fashion typical of the Kogen administartion enforcers proclaimed, that as far as the Exiles were concerned, our own people had no business in T31 and 29 until such a time as our diplomacy made an overture and... if I understood the meaning correctly - that we had no choice but to ask for the Exiles' help.
Seeing as an Exile destroyer appeared on the scene, I left, only to return to the area silently a few minutes later.

I highly recommend, that this report be forwarded to our foreign service.
Two things to say - one for those above, one for those below.
at about 2000 hours yesterday, I sortied from the Hades to seek targets of opportunity between T29 and Rishiri. After a good deal of time, listening posts positively identified an IDF cargo ship as it entered T23, presumably from Kyushu and not long afterwards - in T37. I moved in from the east. I spotted my query some 11k northeast of the T23 jumphole, stopped it immediately and - after a perfunctory exchange of platitudes, destroyed the enemy ship.
Soon afterwards, a GMS mining ship appeared and after moving in to investigate - I found it in the niobium field. It was a small-variety mining ship, seeminly waiting for a cargo ship, since there were containers full of niobium ore all around him. I dispersed the said containers and chased the miner out of the system.
Now for the less tedious part, addressed at those under my command:
Since our merry lot managed to accumulate a decent amount of salvage following the forced changes in our MO - I've decided to institute a discretionary reward fund as a means of addressing the irregular pay issues we've been having since invasion day. From now on, every pilot and crew in our merry battlegroup will be wired a bonus for documented combat success.
Every time you wreck an enemy ship within the 49th's operating area - that is the Taus, plus Nagano and Rishiri - and provide evidence of it - you'll get a cash bonus from me, proportional to how brutally cunning or cunningly brutal your actions will be.

Fellow Crayterians,
I've had recent contact with the Premier of our long lost ally, the Coalition. Since the happenings of the Sevastopol Division have we not heard from them, though rejoice. I've been able to reignite the spark between us. In our fight against the Outcasts and the Gallic Invaders, the Coalitions forces will stand beside us and protect us. I expect everyone to stand beside them and protect them just as well.
At about 1800 hours, one of our raiders encountered a Maltese bomber in T37. Normally, the goal of such spaceships is to seek out and destroy enemy merchant shipping, but an unsupported bomber seemed worth the risk, the pilot later explained. The risk paid off, as the enemy bomber turned out to be a gratifyingly poor match.
Almost an hour later, the Bretonians sent out a generic call for reinforcements due to a suspected Corsair raid on Cambridge. After making certain, that the Auspex array wasn't picking any potential contacts in my own region, I set out to participate. I arrived on the scene just in time. The allied force consisted of the Queen's men, myself and some IMG ships from Cardiff. The enemy force was a mix of warships and screens of varying weight and class. Both forces elected to send their respective screens in first. The Bretonian regulars outnumbered and outclassed the Corsair party utterly. Following the engagement, I returned to base.
On a final note, The application of stealth systems is finally starting to yield some tangible benefits. According to the report attached to this pict - the Royal task force arrived from LD and having spent a considerable amount of time in T29 - simply withdrew without doing anything.

Greetings, Lieutenant Hannes Regener reporting in.
Today is the 02.08. 822 AS. I was on a Patrol in my Pytho, callsign "Razor", i started at Sabah my destination was Battleship "Hades" in Tau-39. After i left Sabah and flew a bit towards the "Barrier Rim" my scanners showed a unkown structure, I approached the Building and it turned out it was a Hostile Outpost as it fired at me, i made some Pictures of it with my onboard camera. I also upload the position of the Outpost on the Nav-Map, it is in sector 3B. The rest of my Patrol was pretty quite, nothing unusal.
Im currently on Battleship "Hades", waiting for further orders.
Lieutenant Hannes Regner out.
Greetings High Command, Commander Chandler here, I have just been informed by two other pilots about there reports being corrupt. It seems my reports have all corrupted, we are unsure the reason behind it, but we did have our black box on a backup also. So all the black box imagery will be uploaded. They have sent me there images over so it will be mixed up a little bit but will all be here.
Sorry sir. Damned computers. I think it was a big ion storm that hit.
Comm ID:Lieutenant Thomas McBraum Target ID:Crayter Millitary HQ Location:New Hope, Coronado Priority:Low
This is Lieutenant McBraum callsign Tiger of the Crayter Military. Today I was patroling around Coronado, Baffin and Tau 29... the day itself did not predict any troubles, but I was wrong. Near the Tau 23 Jump Hole, few hostile contacts appeared and aggressively engaged on me. I did not expect them act so intensive, so they in first minute gave enough demage to my ship, and in the result of it that's all of the logs what have saved:
Code:
[12.12.822 15:35:52] (C~Skywolf.02: Contact.
[12.12.822 15:35:57] CR|-Tiger: Mhm.. What it is?
[12.12.822 15:36:03] CR|-Tiger: I see something... Odd...
[12.12.822 15:36:06] CR|-Tiger: Damn!
[12.12.822 15:36:11] CR|-Tiger: Attention! I'm being engaged by few unlawful contacts!... ... Damn, my shields are down!.. Engines are offline!......
But at last, how this day wouldn't be unexpectable. It still gave me the chance, only one of those aggressive enemies stayed to end with me, others moved toward our Home - Coronado. At last, I had chance to escape. On the way to New Hope, I was expecting to meet the rest of the mysteric group. But I didn't, seems like they are somewhere around the Barrier. Right now, I'll talk with our engineers about the ship demage. Over.
