I found Teerin's post about what kind of ship models are needed as provoking, so decided to give it a try. My representation of the liberty bomber is that it must be fast and heavily armed so instead of guardian cockpit I choose the Patriot one which is looking more speedy orientated. The spoiler from guardian as well and triple engines. Goal is the ship to look as close as possible to the naval ship line (similar to what we did with Jam about the Paladin model).
Feedback about the model would be nice.

While the idea you pulled off is a good one, I'd like to add 2 things
1) It kinda looks like the wildchild of the Libby and the Guardian fed on chocolate. It's not essencially bad, but looks strange to me.
2.) Way too round. both the guardian and the rest of the bigger liberty ships are blocky at the back, while yours looks like it's full o' helium.
However, the textures look okay-ish, unless you took the cockpit and the back both textured from the original models and just pasted them together.
I like the idea of a middle stage ship, like a missing spot in the line. We've done similar thing here (you see the Paladin is modified Hussar with templar MK1 version of engines and cockpit and wings). So I did the same here - for me that is normal ships to look similar with significant differences and yet a lot of similarities.
- You are right about the "round" stuff. I've observed the liberty fighters and tbh I find it interesting if the bomber is distinctive or not as blocky as others. But your point is noted. Backward part needs rebuilding.
- the engines need more love as well, maybe will add an armor of some sort around them.
- Teerin told me to remove the torpedoes even if they look nice on it, will have to add something else there or leave it empty spot (ideas?).
Fuel pod on bomber would be hilarious target during combat (realistic pov). Maybe simply to let these slots open for real SNAC/NOVA torpedoes which will actually rotate/move instead to be as frozen details, while bomber guns to be around the wings and spoiler.
@Chuba, the only Guardian elements are: wings and spoiler. The cockpit is liberator/patriot but the body was further improved/modified. The engines are also new. Overall it does look like a Guardian but primary due to the shape and the few similarity details.
Also what would you like to be changed or fixed - drop a line or two. I need feedback to know what to update to the model.
That thing looks.. good. Tweak it here and there and perhaps give it some more liberty-ish touch-up. Personally I'd sport a center snac/cd platform, as in replacing the torpedoes with a bomber cannon/CD slot, along side the one on the "chin". Placing the backward-firing turrets along the mine/cm slots on the spoiler sounds like a good option.
All in all it's a good concept and work, keep in mind the suggestions oldum made there around the back and so, and you'll probably have an awesome result.
