What do you expect from your other admin when he compares his club life with a public forum? Come on be real I am here for several years but lately things are getting personal at every single corner. Did you ever see me throwing dirty words and swearing in all threads ? No. Then why block me from a shoutbox just because of a minor incident happened year ago.
im about 73% sure that the admins/mods/whatever don't ban people for absolutely and utterly zero reason so your poisonous attitude is the one that got you banned
shut the flipflop up and go shout in another forums' shoutbox or smth

Poisonous attitude? Hahahahah I would've been banned in 2008 if I was such a bad boy. Look at my threads and post count do I look like a trouble maker? I am just upset at the lack of trust and fair justice around here.
Judging by the rules and the enforcement thereof, it's more like a preschool. Call somebody a meanie? Off to timeout with you!
Pubs and Nightclubs are frequented by adults and a certain degree of maturity when dealing with other people's words is expected. Not here, where any chance of hurting somebody's precious, fragile feelings is punished with extreme prejudice.
Don't make the rules sound more reasonable than they are.
They maybe be frequented by Adults, but if you wanted to be treated like an Adult and with maturity then one must act like an Adult and also act with maturity.
Bemoaning the fact that you have been punished and demanding an answer does endear one one to getting a positive answer.
As such there are no Rules for Shoutbox except, as I mentioned before, acting decently to each other as though it was done in polite society.
The decision, as for normal Forum Sanctions, is generally decided by a Group vote. I can't answer for what has happened in the past but what I have seen since becoming an Admin.
I can't say I know most of you as I don't converse with you. I like to feel that I am fair in my approach (and only those that know me can really answer if I am) with any decision making and i can only go with what I see on the Forums.
I don't care what you all do in your Skype Chats/TS but once it spills on to the Forums/Shoutbox then I feel obliged to act.

figure of speech
pretty sure you'd have killed most people in the shoutbox at the time if you really had the power to produce poisonous text

He doesn't kick out anybody from his club without giving them at least 3 chances. Also, he doesn't want to lure customers away because words spread among many people nowadays.
In the end don't sum up how a person thinks and behaves just after ONE incident.
Also, as Karst said above do not compare a club with these tiny forums we have here.
I suggest going back to your clubbing.
Clubbing??????
I gave that up years ago. I would still prefer to frequent somewhere that had little to no troublemakers than somewhere that permanently had disruptive elements
After one incident?
From what I have seen, most people have been given multiple chances. Some even use Alts to try and circumnavigate their Shoutbox ban. Unless you have all the information, to hand, I find it difficult to understand how you come to your decision.
Karst may have suggested not to compare a Nightclub to this Forum but the principle is still the same, whether it be large scale or not.
