I would not be bothered, if missions against NPCs actually brought some money, because in time average player does the 500k mission, I have circa 5 million credits through trading.

Can you just get banned already? This entire situation is stupid from both sides.

I have honestly avoided voicing my opinion in any thread in relation to this.

Blowing off guns is a stupid demand. What do you gain from it other than leaving the other player weaponless, forcing them to buy new guns? You're a pirate. Make money.

The sanction could've been avoided had you simply stuck to the same piracy routine as before, now you're on a war path for no reason, and the admins honestly dont care.

Just go.

The point you miss is that this is a RP server and 99% of the decent RP'ing pirates do not do it for the credits, but for the RP value. Too bad the admins also miss this point.

When most pirates go for "2 milordie" people come out raging about it. When pirates start making RP demands people come out and rage about it (or write sanction reports). Same ol' same ol'

I would like to know what sindroms would have done if someone told him to remove his guns off of his trader himself that are mounted.

Dude, the ID's are fine. You were just wrong when it came to your type of RP demands. Had people been getting away with them in the past? Sure, that doesn't mean it was right to do, or that it was totally harmless. Regardless, its simple, there is really one type of RP demand you can't even try. The others, you can, but if the other person refuses to consent to play along, you then fall back on a cargo/credits demand. The going example always seems to be 'barrel rolls'. If you demand this of someone, your real threat should not be to kill them for not complying, it should be that you will drop a demand for something real instead of roleplay activity, and then it gets real. But I respect your right to say your piece. I now seriously believe you are far too concerned with the wrong aspects of the game and its gameplay/roleplay balance.

Vipex talks about not being able to admit to being wrong. Who really can't admit to it here? The admins voted, no system is perfect, its worked against me more than its worked for me when it comes to who runs the server and who develops the game. Personally I think I've been ruled against with a combination of sanctions and nerfs more than anyone over the last few years. I partially suck it up, yet even I only log a fraction of what I would be if I still had my character as it was 2 years ago. It was all sacrificed for everyone else's fun, so I hope it worked out. If you supported taking BS scanners off all ships, and its power nerf, and its range nerf, and the cloak nerfs greatly reducing range and its actual 'stealth' ability by emitting a compromising sound, you can handle a little crack of the whip that says 'No!' its time for others to have to curb their RP/gameplay to play it safe on other players. I mean, that's why I can't use a BS scanner on my Pelican now right? many cry about the info card when its really an excuse to deny it to as many as possible, in favor of those who didn't want to bother. Same with why cloaks get a fraction of their old cloak times...it doesn't benefit me so it benefits everyone else I guess...? So at the very least, think of the other players, it seems to be the only argument I ever got as well.

So you just want the same old bland piracy demands? I don't always agree with Spazzy but this whole thing is absolutely the wrong way the server should be going.

Please no, again my comment was not about trying decrease traders but rather just a random thought about potential ways to discourage the silent power trader mentality. Missions are kinda worse in my opinion as it is pretty much an activity that is devoid of interaction and if another player does come across you doing a mission is usually just ends up being weird and immersion breaking as not only are npcs incredibly weird when included in a RP context in general what should the person say inRP if they come across you and maybe one or two other players blowing up an entire fleet or taking down a random base that wasn't there a few minutes ago.

Ladies and Gentlemen, a top quality comment from a top quality member. Bravo.

Go and educate yourself here about what the Dawson Dawgs (sorry Spaz, I had to Big Grin) are and what they do.

EDIT:
@Unforgiven
I won't even comment on your concept of "if I get hurt, so should you, no matter what makes sense and what doesn't", I'm just curious about one thing.

Do you really consider Roleplay as one of the wrong aspects of the game?

Point taken, tho. Nonetheless, I have no idea how to discourage them from that. Personally, I know few players that has a lot of money and are bored.

We all get our opinion however arguing about nothing is not going to change it. Yes we have got to the issue so instead of arguing about power trading, "is this right" and all that. Get this issue dealt with.

It has gone on long enough and the quicker we move past this the faster we can all go home happy. I dont like Spazzy and Fluff getting distressed about this and i imagine most of you are the same.
