I suggested some 2 versions ago ( and many people have already ) to connect Outcasts and Corsairs in the old fashion ( Alpha - Theta - Gamma ), today we have even more systems Alpha - Beta - Eta - O-94 - Gamma. This is killing the game. What else is killing the game ?
Omicrons used to have direct access to Liberty ( O-Minor - Alaska - New York ), but travelling to Alaska from Omicrons is now pain in the ass and takes longer than ever, Alaska - Ellesmere - Sigma 59 - Sigma 13 - Sigma 17. I just wish to know why this issue has not been dealt with ? Specifically the Omicron one.

Having it connected is a bad idea if you don't remember how easy was to camp your enemy 'capital' planet, now you can only fight them in Connecticut or in sigmas which is better in my opinion

why would you even need to go to new york?i can't really think of any omicron faction that will have anything to do outside of omicrons and as trader your profit is ballanced accordingly as in profit per second,so it doesnt matter how many systems you have to go through ..
People want to believe that God has a plan for them.
They don't wanna believe that anyone else does..

Order? Core? K'Hara? Outcasts? Zoners? There's quite a large handful of Edge Worlds factions that do actually leave the Omicrons to make use of their ID lines elsewhere.
Chanining Eonaros's comment, I have to wonder about what will become of the Nomad NPCs in Alaska. Unless we revert back to the older connections (which would be much better imo) Alaska currently somehow has Nomad NPCs even though the nearest Omicron or system with Nomad NPCs is 4 systems away and there is no Hive in Alaska. I actually think a Hive in Alaska could be a cool thing though.
should stick to omicrons,if you do hunt bountys should have ships docked in all houses already..although it would be best to do so only in omicrons,omegas..

so..i don't see a sufficient reason for any of those factions to actually be in liberty or outside of omicrons for that matter..

Core ID:
- Can attack Wild, Nomad, Order ships and any ships equipped with Nomad equipment or carrying Nomad remains anywhere.
The Core ID lost it's bounty hunting line about a year ago in order to stop the ID taking away bounty hunting activity from the standard BHG ID fyi.

Order ID:

Also The Order ID has no ZoI and can use all of it's ID lines anywhere.

Zone of Influence: Bretonia, Liberty
They have ZoI there therefore they are able to operate in Liberty.

Yes? And whilst not necessarily being able to dock at every base, they do trade in and out of the Houses.

Nomad ID:
- Can freely engage any ship in the Omicrons, Ellesmere and Alaska except for Nomad and Wilde ships.
- Cannot leave the Omicrons, Ellesmere and Alaska.
And K'Hara/Wild themselves travel across Sirius and are typically based in the Omicrons. Easier access for them would be good.

You'd do well to research the IDs and the Factions that use them before you talk about them.

not enough of a reason to facilitate such a fast route trough all the sirius plus you can dock your ships in most places and can use a jump drive!
*same applies for order

able to operate does not mean it should have a bigger presence than the rogues by having a shorter route to new york

easier access would increase their presence which is not 'normal' nor desired outside of omicrons, because that 'zone' is to be considered dangerous as in there's an enemy that would kill you no matter who you are..and then there's that 'powergaming' stuff with mind control..

Why not? Faster connections means easier access to systems which means more players and more activity. I miss the days when I'd go intercept Order/Core/Nomdas and Zoner artifact smugglers on my LN that were trying to break past Zone-21. It made activity. Now that's not possible anymore.

Even before they didn't have a bigger presence though. Rogues were always bigger in Lib than OC, and I have memories of killing naughty OC caps with my Scylla. And in the event it'd lead to more OC in Liberty, just because they'd have a bigger presence gameplay wise does not mean they have a bigger presence roleplay wise.

Which is bad. We shouldn't be using buffer systems to balance the economy. Hence why buffers are being deleted and generally connections are shortening.

How is it not normal? There's Nomad NPCs up to Gunboats crawling all over Alaska. Having some seep out (speaking about K'Hara here, not indies) and making it into Liberty provides Lib Lawfuls with stuff to shoot.
All things said, these factions having easier access to a region in order to fully fullfil their ID lines means more activity and interactions.

Connecticut is a place for training, not a place for a game. If YOU don't remember what kind of blood skirmish Omicron Theta was.

Easier access would increase their presence which IS DESIRED and what we need. It's 2016 and we want to keep the game running. Decreasing someone's presence directly effects activity. If I have to travel 4 systems to get to New York from Omicrons in order to do something I myself don't have the will to play.

I remember chasing down a Nomad in my Order ship all the way to Magellan from Omicrons and then confronting the Gauls, running to Chester and back to Omicrons again. Neither is possible now.
Connecting the Liberty in the old way New York > Alaska > O.Minor > Zeta is quite desired and I think a lot of people would want this.
(04-17-2016, 01:39 PM)Hannibal Wrote: able to operate does not mean it should have a bigger presence than the rogues by having a shorter route to new york
By default Rogues have higher presence than Outcasts in Liberty, but I don't think you ever experienced chasing Outcast gunships on Trade Lanes in New York, or hunting down their Dreadnoughts. Either someone wants to decrease activity on Discovery or is generally stupid and doesn't know how this works.

Now they are not playing at all.

Dumbest comment ever. Rogues, Outcasts, Lane Hackers, Hellfire Legion, and Order are not welcome in Liberty. Doesn't mean we should deny their presence absolutely.
Some systems that are unnecessary are to be wiped.

The Alpha-Gamma route is being shortened, however it will not include Theta.
As for Liberty to the Omicrons, that route is not returning in the foreseeable future.
