This is a point I can get behind, other than that I don't see how bot-swapping makes a teams b/b - pool larger. It's still the same amount of bots and bats, just that they're able to distribute them.
I know it might not be super interesting or not even a tactical aspect, but I liked the dynamic. I've given bots before, making a recruit survive longer and I've received bots before so I could have a bit more say in a battle in which I was targetted from the get go.
And it definitely should be limited to just snub to snub and cap to cap, everything else is incredibly scummy and I never supported that. I just like to have the option to do things like that, instead of removing that stuff all together.
But hey, if the 'balancing' team is heading into that direction and streamline even more aspects of snub combat...what can I do. The weapon balancing already makes fights last shorter than back then and I understand that some people just don't want to have 2 hours worth of snub combat marathons. (I dig it)
As a player who is not good at PVP, I am glad to know that if I do damage to the opponent in a group fight then it counts and is not fixed by someone just giving them bbs again.

It works. But that's about it.
It repairs a certain percentage each hit but only when the shields are offline. It's range is something like 500 and the projectile is slow and unpredictable because it looks like gas.
I once proposed to removed bb from heavy caps to make the repair ship another viable role because right now it can only get to work once the BS is dry. I'd have loved a dedicated support role.
But back to topic.
I remember bot feeding well. Since we did it ourselves and some fights took hours because of that. I liked it so much better when I returned a year ago.
Full disclosure, I've never actually seen or done this. Either it was before my time or the groups I ran with were too low-skill to do it.
Still, this seems like a stupid idea. Even discounting capital-to-fighter issues, what this basically means is either that the ace you're trying to focus down will die last, as all his mates funnel BBs onto him and he carries. or every shot you lay into a person is recouped by the shared BB pool, such that fights is a contest of who runs out of BBs first. That, opposed to who can knock out decisive elements first and recover from mistakes the best.
We're better off without it. At the same time, playing support is an interesting dynamic and I'd like to see it re-done in a better manner.
