EDIT: The main thing that I'm missing is a good way of automagically rendering the region overlays like the one you put on to show the systems that aren't in the Blood Dragon ZOI; doing that is a lot more difficult than it seems at first glance, unfortunately.

Maybe just cover the map with low-res, black and white transparent image? (to save space). It would load dynamically as the entire map does. You would need like 50 of those images ofc.
Another idea is to render non-ZOI systems in dark color (gray/black name and circle, maybe even connections), so the ZOI systems are colored and white names, and non-ZOI are blacked. You still can click and use them, but they are clearly not part of ZOI. This way it even gets easier to update, no need for image editing.

a bitmap wouldn't work due to scaling issues - although you can probably get away with a vector

...much like you can hide labels, hide ooRP systems, etc. with the current setup, one could make a table of data, with the Faction ZoI vs. System.

You could select a ZoI from the interface (both official and generic/indie; for example, Order ID or Order| Primary ID), and it would hide all the systems where ZoI = 0, and show the ones where ZoI = 1.

It would take some time to fill it out, and to keep updated with any ID changes, but it's the simplest bridge I see.

Inactive; hope to be back at some point

The map got updated a tiny bit. Mostly on the "oorp/hidden" system side.

I don't see it - how can hidden systems be viewed?

Ah well in another program.

Other than that in Error's map you can activate to see oorp/hidden systems at the top options menu.

Yup, I'm aware of it, I just haven't had the opportunity to sit down with it yet; thought about it as late as earlier today. Thanks for the reminder and my apologies for any inconvenience caused, I'll bump it up my priority list. ETA a day or two, I'd say.

Quick PSA: The map is running into a few technical issues with the latest mod release that I haven't been able to locate yet after an hour or two of update work. It'll be up and running as soon as that's fixed, I've got all the patch data ready. ETA probably one-two days again, unfortunately got a lot to do right now; sorry for the delay.

Alright, it should be up and running for the latest version now! Thank you for your patience and my apologies for the delay; it's just been a busy week without as much time for poking at bugs as I'd like. As usual, any feedback, bug reports or feature requests are much appreciated, both here or by PM/Skype (or even GitHub if you're into that). Big Grin

excellent work.

i know im late to the party on this, but...

for the next edit, instead of having colours to represent bretonia, liberty, nomnoms, could you use shapes? triangle, square, circle, (filled/non-filled) to give us colour-blind peeps a help?
