Yeah, this I also mentioned during devstream. It can add new dynamic of uncertainty within mining fields.

I know what he is saying and my point based on what Sand Spider said and what I assumed the rational behind the thinking would be:
Quote:metals within the mining area causing radar interference
That it would interfere with outgoing and incoming radar/detection systems, equally.
'I would like to be half as clever as some people like to believe they are' Life is full of disappointments, it is how we handle them that helps to define us, as a person

Actually, that can be argued over but let's not bring indepth logic to what could possibly enhance gameplay.

No, it is just enhancing Gameplay in one direction only.
What is sauce for the Goose should also be sauce for the Gander.
And this is just to appease you about your one problematic Field.

I mean the idea sounds pretty nice, but there is no real need for it in my opinion.
Pirating a lone miner is pretty pointless, as most of the time they will either be able to run in their small transports or just accept death as they won't pay a large amount to survive.
I agree with Denis though, it would be pretty unfair and onesided if only the miners would have the disadvantage.. pirates can cloak, if they really want to pirate the miners
Last words are for fools who have not yet said enough.

Well see, that's the thing. They can currently run a short distance to a PoB (Or dock on a base in a field) because they have such an advance warning against piracy at 14k. If the distance is 7.5k, then there's the chance that unless they immediately start mashing cruise upon noticing trouble, the pirate may be able to catch them. Cloaking devices shouldn't be mandatory if you're a pirate; they're spendy pieces of hardware!
Imo, I'm against docking on a PoB when being pirated. That's a pretty quick way to get your base targeted with a siege, or at least, that's how I view things from an inRP standpoint. I'm kind of weird though, in the sense that 9/10 times, I'll pay whatever the pirate is asking, since I'm just happy to see people willing to play pirates, these days.

Glad to see more of your/my kind. OKAY, I don't really pay pirates, because I fly CAU8 Bison to make them sweat for it, but if they would cripple me, holy balls would I pay them good to not be destroyed.
