Honestly we left when aerelm was forcing me to do dev work in order for VR to get anything done. That wasn't the game we wanted to play. We wanted to tell stories in Discovery, but Discovery didn't want to tell stories with us.

Yeah, that was around 2013/2014.
I genuinely enjoyed what we did but holy hell was it ever disheartening to have a laundry list of things to fix in order for the self-appointed lead developer/lead admin to even think about considering bringing one of our requests as an official faction to the table.
I think that's when I stepped down as a forum moderator too.
Sorry to whoever had to take up maintaining the base plugin though. That code's a mess through and through.
(man this is the most real conversation I think Flood has ever had)

If I did come back (and Thex and I are kind of tabling the idea, mostly when we get nostalgic and consider forking 4.84) I don't think the VR or NO would come back. That's pretty much a closed book. It's a much more fun angle to pursue elsewhere, and I've considered spinning it off as a novel a couple times.
There's just too much unpleasantness connected to it on Disco, as Thex puts it.

That nebula (is that what this is about?) was damned iconic I tell you. Iconic!
