Which is what i repeatedly said would make MR| dead in the water, from the day that the RCR stuff was announced.

The way i read it, any attempt at changing Outcast or Corsairs from being criminals, or them seizing their criminal activity, is tantamount to "turning them legitimate", and thus, you will be taking your roleplay up against the devteam, aka the ones who has the SOLE POWER, to change game files. Thus your faction, is going to lose, and it cannot actually fulfil its premise

This is where people confused it seems.

This is means only you cant be representative of OC NPC faction for this crap. Nothing prevent you making OC seperatists NPC faction.

No anton, something does prevent you that, it's called Cardamine. And given that your life depends on it, any attempt at separating or going against the Maltese gov, will leave you cut off from your cardamine supply.

Any attempt at going against the Maltese gov, would inRP, get you bountied or wanted "dead" not alive, by a criminal organisation. Thus you're going to have to pay big bucks, in order to get cardamine without trying to rob cardamine transports.

Granted, you can do that, but you won't survive that way. You're up against the largest criminal network in sirius, you'll have no safe havens. So whatever supply of cardamine you can get, will be severely limited in amount. Your organization will never grow big enough to be a real influencing force against the millions of outcast pilots out there.

And its not like the outcasts are a charitable operation. They are drug dealing criminals. They aint gonna take you to court. They'll kill you, and be done with you.

This is inRP problem, and should be played out inRP. I personally think that colorful description how they die on Borneo, or being uncovered during infiltration attempts on OC stations could be actually nice and fun RP.

You and Reeves were more about ooRP side of question, which is not problem, as far faction players realise who they are gameplay wise and where their claims go.

EDIT: Estimations of RP quality is another topic, i just give up to go here, because think that hard lore is something what was losed decade ago, and while it wont be reworked heavily with infocards, news and guidelines, its just about "is it fun for most of players or not".

Cardamine addiction is mitigated through import of stabiline via proxies. Stabiline enables cardsmine addicted individuals to survive and function. To address another point, MR seeking OFdom isnt an attempt to suddenly rewrite outcast lore, its creating that in a point in time, organized resistance to warlord-like don rule was opposed and supported by enemies of the typical maltese regime. Its not seeking to control the NPC faction and modify its lore to radically change who and what outcasts are. Using a FL ID doesnt support what MR is. MR is a group of democratic leaning outcasts using salvaged and otherwise stolen warships to wage war against the current regime. They are not vreaking away, theyre not trying to be independent, theyre waging a civil war against outcasts, as outcasts.

You enjoy playing a more 'vanilla' style, which is fine. You do you. I enjoy playing my nation building, fancy government, and letting it react to the outside world. Let me do me.

Want to add, Its can be easily fixed by playing on freelancer ID after the confrontation went far. As well as OF can be representative of itself, not specially of NPC faction (separatists, auxesia, apostatas). This is itself not the problem, but faction members should realise that ooRP wise for sake of gameplay they cant be OC. inRP-wise they would be maltese descendants. Its can become a problem only if players continue claim unfitting to their theme NPC faction.

I just dont sure, did MR claimed anywhere that they want represent OC NPC faction as OF?

This is pretty much where I'm looking from.
Despite having an Outcast (Guard) IFF, Outcast ships, Outcast lineage, etc., I would actually like to point out that *MR| has absolutely zero intention of acting as a third OC official faction in regards to representing the NPC faction as a whole. We literally can't, since we're FR5'd to the main Outcast IFF, so assuming we can is a fool's errand.
The aim inRP is to represent the Outcasts, but ooRP it's to represent what the faction really is. We have plans to grow, fight enemies, do the usual faction stuff, but representing what the majority of Outcasts do is absolutely outside of what the faction is capable of.

So if you're not trying to represent the Outcast ID, and are rebels/seperatists/super-special-and-original, why not use a different ID, something that actually fits in with something else. Like Freelancer, or maybe even CR? You can bring one of your factions in as another subfaction of the other OF you lead since MR relies on CR so much.

Unless it's to keep using Outcast ships? I bet it's to keep using Outcast ships. Or to add another OF under your belt for clout.

Factions also don't need to be official to exist. I don't know why in C U R R E N T Y E A R Disco everyone seems to think that either you're OF or you don't play

Not as a whole. A small group opposing the rest of the Outcasts, but not enough to make a difference in the main arena of Maltese 'politics'. Outcasts by lineage, but not directly by association.

Using the Outcast ID lets us keep the identity of being Maltese, while allowing us to use Maltese ships without having to go through the process of having them SRP'd for what is, even after an FR5 and by the faction's lore, an Outcast faction.
Using a different ID has been talked about before, but the faction I feel has too much history being an Outcast faction, flying with an Outcast ID and utilizing the ID lines to the fullest extent for any other ID to be incompatible with the faction's playstyle, even if it is against the lore of the faction the ID mainly represents.

In short, the faction represents its own sect of Outcasts, but not the entirety.

RoS did basically the same thing without the Outcast ID, just sayin ‾\_(ツ)_/‾

And Freelancers can use OC tech at a nerf, which I think is fair considering how you don't have access to Malta anymore. Same with caps, you wouldn't have full use of caps because the classic meme of i sToLe iT isn't viable for a fleet

But you're an antithesis to an Outcast faction, if anything. Your faction condones the 2 main pillars of the Outcast NPC faction - piracy and cardamine smuggling. Even the Maltese Opposition Army was closer to the NPC faction in the sense that they didn't oppose cardamine and piracy and yet they still used a different ID by the end of their iteration so that they don't portray themselves as the Outcast status quo.

This would be, like Shiki stated above, something along the lines of creating a Crayter Republic faction that focuses on hunting lawfuls and piracy (if only the ID allowed such loophole), but demanding to keep using the Crayter ID, because of the faction's origins and so that tech is at 100%.

My other big concern is official faction rules - what happens if you get official as Outcast ID? Do you get a say in Outcast NPC faction politics? This would be quite the abuse in my opinion - having an enemy of the Outcast NPC Lore having say in Outcast NPC Lore. You shouldn't get a say in Outcast official faction votes if you plan to play the absolute antithesis of Outcasts.

*MR| should use a Pirate ID during their (next) unofficial period. You keep your startup of an unlawful faction and get to progress to being quasi-lawful if that is what you want.

If it's anything like with Apostatas then they would be split from Outcasts, get their own IFF and their word loses all weight when it comes to decisions regarding Outcast development
