Nice to see some people who dont want it to disband.
But on the other hand there are always the ones who are critical.
Fair enough there are smugglers but as ive said we dont have enough logging time and other commitments so it makes sense to just terminate rather than keep it in the dark deep reaches where it wont get revived.
Thanks to those so far who have commented positive.
Hopefully one day it may get to the stage where someone makes another Kusari Police faction but if they do it may fall like this one and as stated Liberty is the one who has the most influx of players and I dont think that will change really.
Hey man, sorry this didn't work out. From the beginning it was a windfall from the get-go. We had all the support for the Role Play and logistics of building the faction from the ground up. But it shows that some groups in Discovery unfortunately don't get targeted for activity. I believe we were hit with that truck, I myself quit as 2ic because i'm having the same issues in IC| people not logging, less faction activity and so forth.
I went on to building where activity is required, Hellfire Legion to Liberty to bring back open warfare to Liberty.
I'm saddened to see this fail, but unfortunately unless you try we'll never know.
Nice work to all those that helped with building it up the work you did wasn't for nothing but for pure RP and we as a team did that well. It's a shame Disco didn't take it well enough to get involved and people be active.
I agree with what you have said and I am convinced that if we were able to log more players we would have been able to attract more activity to Kusari.
Dont know what happened in attracting people to the group but we all did alot of work even had an online database set up which dealt with our officers reports and made a list of outstanding fines and wanted criminals and that just basically went to waste.
My next step is to concentrate on all the other thngs I am doing in game and making things improve on all my other projects and hopefully one of my projects can fill a gap that i consider needs filling in this community.
NOT going to give any details but hopefully this one will be bigger than anything ive done yet and may surprise some people if it works and I think Bellck you will know what I am talking about mate and I am hoping you may consider helping with it too and also maybe the others who helped with KSP will consider a role with it.
We will discuss this later my friend.
But all in all it had to be done and MAYBE one day I might decide to re introduce it but that will be a long way away yet.
THANKS EVERYONE FOR ALL YOUR COMMENTS AND WE DID TRY AND BRING A LAWFUL FACTION TO KUSARI
Another sad sign of a broken game. Too bad we havent seen any work go into new features to enhance smuggling and policing and cat vs mouse scenarios in general. I had a bunch of ideas for new scanners and shields, shields that would hinder scanning and special scanners get through a 'smuggler's' shield (or intel shield) , all of which would make smuggling and policing more interesting. Not only that but we cant spy while cloaked and use the data so there are no alternatives for police/intel players to get the drop on good smugglers and still get proof of their activity even if they dont get to catch them during that interaction.
We could also use regular GM/dev administered supply events. We should have weekly or at worst monthly supply events, contraband events, and official siege events. This is all because we don't have a wheel to push beyond basic grind for ships, equipment and bases. But there's nothing thats always ongoing that really drives a need to use that stuff or continue grinding to consume. We need to set trigger scenarios that can be fulfillled in game to get players out into certain areas for a real practical reason. Its just a thing of a +10 year old server and +15 year old game...the way its been has been enough to get us this far but it won't work indefinitely without some evolution.

I think we all know that would be futile. It used to seem like good ideas for the server came from talk on the forum. Now we're just the loud mob outside the palace gates!

Meh this is just saying shut up dont discuss such things. Who made you the thought police? If good ideas got support from people in discussions we'd probably see more things to do instead of disbandments, thats my point. KSP are a perfect example of police having nothing to do because of restraints, and probably a lack of new features/activities. If you dont agree just say so or bring it up in a new thread. I don't make you read my posts btw.
