Hello all!

I just discovered Discovery a few days ago. I loved Privateer and Freelancer etc back in the day and figured I'd take Freelancer for another spin a couple weeks ago during this lockdown. After finishing it I was like, damn I wish there was a way to keep playing in that universe and BOOM I found this. You all have done a fantastic job of keeping the story and world alive. Thank you.

In Freelancer, I always wanted to fly a large transport, so hauling 4500 White Boxes for Ageira in my Stegodon has been a dream come true. I saw that there are Jump Drives that require a Survey Module but I can't find one anywhere. Am I missing something?

Also I'd like to improve my rep with Hogosha so I bribed the bartender on Hawaii. My rep became friendly with Hogosha but then as soon as I launched to space it went back to where it was. Is this WAI?

Jump Drives, you can buy from people for cash! Some items are only obtainable through Player Owned Bases, and their production line. SO it helps to keep things fresh!

Your ID has some hard-locked reputation limitations so a "Police" cant dock on an unlawful base. If your ID is an enemy of Hogosha, you wont be able to ally with them.

I think my reps with certain factions are unchangeable because of my Ageira Tech ID (required to fly my Stegodon) even though Ageira is not a stated enemy of those factions. The Ageira ID does say "Cannot ally with any unlawfuls", but I didn't realize that this would prevent me from becoming friendly enough with the "quasi-legal" Hogosha to land at their bases. Even if I kill a bunch of BDs and my Hogosha rep improves by 4 bars, whenever I go back to a base my Hogosha rep resets back to where it was. I guess you have to learn some things the hard way.

As much as I love my 10 turrets and don't want to kiss another $100m+ goodbye, I'll probably just buy a civilian transport so that I am less restricted as a trader.
