It was around twelve and Anna Aurelia heard the elevator. She wondered who could it be but then, a familiar figure showed up. It was the shogun. Then, Anna executed her plan. She made sure to face the shogun and then the movements acted on their own. Her left leg goes on the ground and her right hand to her heart. For a fraction of second, she hesitated but then the words went out. ''Your loyal Anna Aurelia is here for you, my shogun!'' When the shogun broke the silence, she felt awkward. Anna looked at Tsuya with her briefcase. The sensation was as shot shot in the head.
''Not the reaction I expected...'' She thought for herself. Then, she stopped her comedy and returned on her feet. ''Oh.. Th... thank you..'' She looked at the ground totally confused and lost. Her plan was a failure.
After that brief exchange, Tsuya gave her a puzzled look. Here she was, standing here, with the briefcase still in her hand as Anna does a bizarre pose in some form of comedic manner, but she didn't find it too amusing. Didn't find it insulting either, though, so she just decides to shrug it off and nudge Anna with the briefcase implicatively. "Not sure what drove you to do that... Come on, you look dejected, it's like you expected a totally different outcome. Take your briefcase already. We must get started, no? Tired of waiting on the dumbstruck Anna, she pushes the briefcase into her arms so that her own don't get tired of holding it.
She crosses her arms and stares at Anna. Any hint, any sign of cracks in her composure have all been sealed. It's like yesterday never even happened, in Anna's perspective. "There's a training arena on the 5th floor. It has the facilities and equipment necessary to go through proper training procedures. I'll likely start with the basics of CQC." She smirks at what she just mentioned, knowing she hardly gets to show off her martial arts skills. "Are you ready, or are you just going to stand there like a mikka bōzu?"
Anna Aurelia finally walked toward Tsuya and grabbed the briefcase. She answered to Tsuya but without saying anything. ''Of course I was expecting something else...'' But she rather said: ''Yes, you are completely right. Let's start and end this as fast as we can.'' However, her tone was serious with some deception mixed with anger. While they both heading toward the elevator, Anna simply felt uncomfortable. She did not know why. When they both were in the elevator, Anna pressed the bouton written '5'. The doors closed themselves and an awkward silent could be felt between them.
While the elevator was heading to the fifth floor, Anna simply looked at her briefcase. She did not say anything. Then the woman opened the briefcase. She wanted to see if everything was there and indeed, everything was there. Sometimes, the white haired woman looked at the shogun. ''Why so serious? We're just together... *sigh*'' Her mouth burnt to say something but she decided to stay silent. When the doors opened, Tsuya led the way and Anna followed. When they reached the room in question, Anna break the silence. ''I.. I will need to put those electrodes on you... Unless you prefer to do it yourself...'' As said the shogun yesterday, she prefered that Anna ask the permission before to touch her.
She pauses in her tracks, having been focused on obtaining the training equipment as soon as they entered the arena. It was much like a dojo, with very traditional looking designs and decor. Weapon racks sat near the walls of the open space, with armaments like swords, spears, blunt weapons and guns, but they all very evidently looked like props, indicated by the orange rings around the grips of the weapons and at the tip of the barrel of each gun. She'd thankfully arrived in her training attire which was a light and nonrestrictive bujutsugi, in black and red hues. Typically, people who train here or in any kind of widely known martial arts setting do so without any shoes, but Tsuya chose to use a completely clean pair of heels for her session today.
"Right, almost forgot about that... Well, it's your plan, so you go ahead and stick them on me. Just don't touch me anywhere weird, or I'll put you into a joint lock, Anna." She said that a bit too enthusiastically, as though a part of her enjoys putting people though rigorous physical stress in training. She knows that every time she steps in here, it's like some switch goes off in her head that turns her into a glutton for combat, but she doesn't know what to do about it. Instead, she ops to just let herself act this way.
The woman nodded and came closer to the shogun. Her briefcase still in her left hand, Anna opened it and began to stick the electrodes on Tsuya. She began to put one on her forehead, then one on the left and right shoulder. She putted one electrod on the left and one the right hand. Then, Anna knelt on the ground to stick the other electrodes. One on the left and right knee and on the feet. After she finished to stick the electrodes on the shogun, Anna grabbed a device and turned it on. She took some seconds to set the device on the mode: recording.
The way that the device works was simple. The electrodes send the data via a network that linked the device and the electrodes without any need of wire. On the device, there was three modes. The first one was to recording the data read on the electrodes, the second mode was mostly used on machine such as android. In other words, it permits to send the data saved toward an android or a computer and finally the third one, it was to electrocute. But this mode was not really used by Anna. Because it was not necessary, she trafficated the device the way to not be able to use that mode.
Once the recording mode was selected, Anna broke the silence. ''O.K. You can start by anything you want. The device will read your movements when you will ''Attack'' or ''Block'' or your evasive movements. I know those electrodes are on your way but you will need to get used to them.'' After saying this, Anna Aurelia sat near the device and observes the shogun. She noticed the outfit of Ubukata Tsuya and within her head, she couldn't stop saying: ''It looks good on her.''
Tsuya couldn't help but feel rather odd at the sensation of having these attached to her. Not only that, but the fact that Anna was so physically close to her just now was also considerably making her nervous. It took everything in her mind to focus on keeping her calm expression and not letting Anna see any signs of affection. It would be incredibly awkward right now. After every electrode was firmly grasping her body, she takes a step back and makes fists with her hands a couple of times. She was unsure if it was her imagination or not, but she thought she felt a small shock just now. She puts it aside, however, and continues to move towards the weapon rack. "Now, to make this a bit quicker, I'll..."
She pauses to bundle together an array of dojo weapons for the 'training' session, holding them between both of her arms in a 'hugging' grasp. "...Just grab a bunch of them at once." Since they were only training weapons, they were somewhat lighter and easier to carry. She sets them down on the floor near Anna, except for one. A practice katana. "First off, the katana. It's a perfectly versatile weapon for both offense and defense. Incredibly sharp and incredibly lethal to organic lifeforms close up." She twirls the blade in her left hand with finesse, wondering if the electrodes pick up on all her movements. "You sure this thing only tracks those actions? I would think you'd want to have it track all of my movements." She says before turning to a test dummy, made of material that can easily be sliced.
Anna Aurelia could see the weapons near her. Her curiosity brought to sometime hold one of them just to feel the feeling to have a weapon in her hand. But when she had enough, she putted them where they were, next to her. When Tsuya broke the silence, her attention was focused on the shogun. The katana picked her interest. She wondered if she could have one as a souvenir from Kyoto. But for that, she will need to ask it to the shogun. ''Well... I can modify a bit the settings to record every movements but...'' Anna pauses before to continue. ''But there will have some data no required. Like when you move here to grab a new weapon. But oh well. I will change those settings.''
After some more seconds later, Anna managed to set the device to read all movements made by the shogun. Even the useless ones. By Anna's face, Tsuya could read a confused expression. Especially about the twirlling blade with finesse. Anna did not know why it would be important for Marcus. ''Why twirlling a blade would be important during a battle or a fight?'' She said a bit confused at Tsuya. When she met the shogun's eyes, the shogun herself could see that Anna wanted to learn the reason behind this.
She shook her head and laughed gently. "Because, if you track all my movements..." She pauses to enter the hidari jodan stance and in the blink of an eye, brings the practice blade down swiftly onto the nearby holographic training dummy with three swift and flowing strikes. Every motion was deliberate and designed to maximize the efficiency of the blade. If it was as sharp as a real one, it would have sliced clean through the dummy like cheese. "You can track everything necessary to mimic my skills as a fighter. Wouldn't that be required, hm? I don't think you'd want an incomplete sample..."
She continues the demonstrations as she explains by cycling through various stances and continuously striking at the dummy in any lethal angle from each stance, experimenting with which blade angles make the quickest kills. "And while it might have moments like this where... I'm not doing much of note, I'd consider every little move I make to be essential in copying my fighting styles. It's important to record each stance, and each swing. Down to the most minute of muscle movements. Otherwise, I don't think your project will be successful."
''I see. I trust you, Tsuya.'' Said Anna still sit near the wall. Not an expert, Anna Aurelia needed to trust in Tsuya's knowledge. After all, she was the shogun so she knew what she was doing what she was saying. Once she will have all the data she wants, Anna will return to her Raven's Talon and fly to the New-Horizon, her personal liner. There, she would complete Marcus and will start the AI that Tsuya requested the other day. A thing that Anna planned to do it perfectly. She wanted to satisfy the shogun in this way.
While Tsuya was busy to move and doing the movements, Anna admired her. Seeing Tsuya moving like that, Anna wanted to see more but kept a normal expression. She asked out of nowhere a question. ''Say... would you like to teach me? You know... to move like you do...'' She couldn't hide a certain shyness in her voice.
"Well..." She talks as she continues to showcase various attacks from different positions and momenta such as running or jumping. "Teaching a human something like this is a lot different than teaching an AI. In the time I spent at the academy I went to before this, I was able to learn a good amount of close quarters combat. I may not have been there long, but I picked up rather quickly. Others might not. The elders recognized my aptitude and allowed me to go through their arbitrary tests and crash courses."
Having finished demonstrating everything she's learned with the katana, she sets it back down onto the floor of the dojo and sits down on a nearby chair to rest for a moment, crossing her legs in the process. "It is certainly something I could try, but it would be a long process. As well as something to discuss for after we are done with this. I am curious though... What exactly is your plan for implanting these memories into the AI's database so that it can copy my moves?" With a hint of curiosity, she throws the question into the air, awaiting a response as she catches her breath.
