mass effect much looks alot like the reapers and that seems to be what the harvys are so thumbs up for me tho as for getting it ingame idk

Unless a new "solid black" cruiser is being introduced for the order, please no. Infact ALL order ships should be solid black or very dark, and they should be the only black ships in the game. Sry, had to let that out sometime. :)

I like the ship, & before I read all the posts, the 'hunchback' thing reminded me of Bret BS's

Now I understand Unselie's POV on total immersion, but I have to say that time has passed in the game, & we can't stay completely static in how we look at shiplines.

for example:

Now personally, I hate the body style of the newer truck...but is it not still a Ford? & if I saw it on the street, would I loose the sensation of driving while behind the wheel of the uber cool 39 model that came first & is best? Should progress stagnate to fit inside a rigid box? or can we think outside of it?

(The questions are rhetorical)

One might say a deal between the Britonians, Mollies, and Outcast is straining to peoples emersion but, I adapt and concede time passes. Perhaps the same curtesy would be kind.

It would be a lot easier to figure out what would be an appropriate ship for the Harvesters' technology and programming if we could see the full out story. You know, explaining the full relation to the Daam K'Vosh, stuff like that. If we've got that, there will be a lot less "ugh harvies again" sentiment and a lot more productive conversation. Care to provide it?

Its not been 56 years, its been 16 years, at the apex of 800 years of development. I suspect that development will have long ago reached a point of diminishing returns, and changes have reduced to near nothing.

To take Marburg's argument, its much closer to this comparison:

I'm not arguing that things should stay totally static, I'm saying that that ship has diverged from the norm far too greatly.

You know, I could have sworn I got the first post in this thread... Poof, it's gone. Meh, I'm confuzzled now.


Anyway, I'll repeat what I said before, the ship in my opinion, isn't what I expected from an AI design. AIs would be hell bent on efficiency, anf those whispy tendril things that are floating around the rear of the ship don't exactly scream functional to me... Then again, my knowledge of the Harvesters, other than they are machines that eat people, is a bit hazy. And wasn't the Huntress being replaced by Doom? Or was that the Albatross? I'm confused again.

Summary: Awesome design, but it don't fit my image of an AI built object.

It's a pretty design, but I don't think it fits, nor do I think the Harvesters need their own ship.

I'll risk my personal health by agreeing with this... Clans/factions should have it's own NPC faction before people start building ships for them. There are other groups that need attention more. (Running on the above principle, that's why I'd be suprised if Mon'Stars doomcruiser gets into the next mod)
