Out of everything we do in-game, our cartography is the one service I haven't got right. A while back I had a chat with one of the faction leaders of the Lane Hackers regarding cartography and the use of their scanners. They had put into perspective the relation between what would be inRP hidden and what we can access as players. Alaska being a good example of this.
Since then I had changed how the cartography works. It is a touchy subject and I do agree that some may consider it powergaming. Your suggestion about only reporting on debris, wrecks and jump holes has been considered.
All in all it's a hard one to get right. I'll be working on this particular service we offer to try find a nice balance inRP without it being absurd.

From my perspective. I feel like Starfliers is a very unique faction and unlike any I've witnessed before. I love the ideology and I've always wanted research and exploration to have more gameplay then what Disco currently supplies (hit me up with ideas). The roleplay focus is fantastic, and interactions I've witnessed both personally and vicariously, are excellent.
Giving completley honest feedback, as requested:
To me, the appeal for gameplay is weak for the time I can dedicate atm, due to the super-neutral rep and lack of weps.

The only interaction with your folks that I can recall having was on an indy 5ker of mine. It was a surprisingly fun and entertaining conversation, and it felt quite realistic as a "slice of life" snapshot. I like the rp I've seen from you on the forums, and the fact that you've kept this group going for this long despite the highly restrictive gameplay limitations is a powerful testament to the quality of your roleplay. I'm a huge fan of letting creativity come out of restrictions, and it seems like you're turning some utterly massive would-be downsides into incredible positives for your group.
My one criticism is that your lore section is very sparse and doesn't address the group's founding or business strategies in any serious depth, but given the success you've already had with the jaw-dropping premise of "no weapons allowed whatsoever" this concern is a lot more minor than it would otherwise be.
Best of luck to you and I look forward to interacting more in the future!

RP can be made without PVP, that's part of the angle I'm trying to achieve with this faction. The neutrality is only because of the active factions, I can only meet so many and have good / bad relations with the ones that are super active in-game or on the forums. If I had the chance to interact with the lesser active or inactive factions, then I could develop the repsheet further and possibly have more enemies.

That's fair, a lot of what you have mentioned is tied to the first ever Player Base I established for the Starfliers. I'll work on adding more of this information in, thanks for the heads up!

Good faction, sticks to the gimmick they picked and intentionally restrict themselves. Still Sirius is an extremely hostile place, and being able to fight at least somewhat back or having a security force would be logical, but again, they're sticking to their gimmick even if it can make gameplay harder.

The faction premise - particularly the no guns/pacifism angle - reminds me a bit of Eve Online's Signal Cartel.
It's a cute and novel concept in Freelancer though. Good luck.
The only thing I would suggest watching out for is falling into the "Zoner trap" - just because you're not running guns doesn't mean you can't be someone else's target.
Additional information has been added to reflect how we were founded.

I recognized from the start that I'd be a target considering the type of work we do inRP and the "no weapons" policy. There have been times where we have disturbed the hornet's nest and been told not to do it again. It's all apart of the faction and I'm okay with being a target / having enemies.
