Leon, a freelance pilot hailing from Omicron Theta found a really good deal on a Bustard equipped with hyperspace technology. Catch was, the Bustard had a defect and the price was too good to be true. Once the purchase was completed and Leon obtained the Bustard known as SR-45, he spent a bit of time exploring the Sirius Sector. One time, SR-45's drive malfunctioned during regular use and Leon jumped right into the Hammen Hole in Omega-5. It didn't take long for Leon to see the state of Omega-5. The Hammen Hole struck a chord with him, convincing him that weapons are not the way to deal with any issues. From that moment forward, Leon mandated the removal of all weapons on Starflier ships, effectively handicapping the Starflers' ability to fight back any undesirables.
Exploring Sirius has lead to many encounters between the Starfliers and groups of various alignments and ideologies. Two such encounters was flying alongside Orbital's own Jonathan Seabourne, when his luxury cruiser accidentally took a dive into New Tokyo's atmosphere. Leon acted as an emergency vessel to make sure Seabourne, his crew and patrons were all okay. Another such trip took Leon and a couple Orbital captains during their off-hours to the Hispania, where the Outcasts willingly gave us a history lesson on their ancestory and cardamine trade, not before telling us to leave their homeworld and never come back. Building upon their relationships with some of these groups has earned them a name across Sirius and Gallia. Now, the Starfliers are the first choice of contact for any organisation who would like to contract their services in hyperspace scanning and system cartography.
Simply put, a small-footprint research and exploration group, dedicated to system cartography, hyperdrive scanning and general research across Sirius. Our tasks involve flying through dangerous terrain to map out sectors of systems for further studies. Organisations utilize the Starflier's services to learn more about hidden objects within nebulae, asteroid fields or radiation beds.

How we Were Founded
.
Flying around Sirius in his Bustard, Leon gained a bit of reputation via his work. With the data servers on board his ship reaching capacity, Leon decided it was time to setup a home somewhere in the Independent Worlds. His plans were to build an installation that would house all the data and research he would gather in case his ship or the servers on board were to get damaged. Learning about the re-opening of the Kepler System, the base was setup in the middle of the Dark Matter Storm nearby Ames Research Station. At this same time, the Starfliers company was created to recruit other researchers, scientists and crew that primarily specialize in hyperspace related topics.
Shortly after, Leon encountered the Technocracy of Auxo within the Taus. They had questioned Leon about his job, purpose and origins. Their conversation was quite fruitful, as the Technocrat learned that the newly established base in Kepler was in fact Leon's. This sparked a secret partnership between the Starfliers and the Technocracy, to a degree where they had funded the Starfliers growth into what they are known as now.

Our Goals
.
We are primarily explorers and researchers, and as such we're looking to improve our own equipment to become more efficient with these two tasks. Our goals are to become to number one hyperspace research company in Sirius. In order to obtain this standing and to reach our goal for peak efficiency, our pilots are tasked with reaching out to organisations for assistance. This would help us grow and become more helpful to those who are wanting better hyperspace information. This cycle of improvement is what we are currently working within, hoping it will lead us to creating the perfect Starflier ship, one that will serve as the workhorse of the company.
Our current jobs and roles offer us the opportunity of discovering more about the world we reside in. While we are first and foremost explorers, the second round of exploration is more scientifically orientated. This means that our pilots get the chance to explore, and delve into any deeper research into subjects they do find to be interesting and / or useful. All efforts made by our pilots result in huge success for improving efficiency and processes.

The Starfliers are an independent research organization specializing in space travel via Jump Drives, system cartography, studying points of interest and researching interstellar anomalies within Sirius and Gallia. Their largely miniscule footprint within space has allowed them to stay neutral with most parties. The information they gather is sold to any parties wanting to work with the Starfliers.
This Starfliers ID is used by a member of the Starfliers, who:
Cannot mount weapons.
Cannot fulfill bounty contracts.
Cannot use ships with more than 2,000 cargo.
Can only fly Civilian, Border Worlds and Edge Worlds ships.
. Small footprint means only one way to designate our ships. No alternative symbols or names for departments or specific ranks. Single word for all pilots.
This installation houses a handful of research, development and digital server wings. The Research and Development wings are dedicated to analyzing rift and scientific data gathered by the '\S/'Velorum and "Corvo"-Class research ships. The development side of these wings focus on the prospect of constructing the best equipment for the Starfliers. Having purchased the best prosumer-grade servers, these racks have been encrypted with the help of an outside party to make sure the survey and research data stays safe and the firewalls remain unbreakable. Other information on these servers include Map-Data Reports and Invoices all the way to information recorded from Anomalies.
Spending a prolonged time residing in Kepler caused the crew to develop radiation sickness. With the help of Cryer Pharmaceuticals and Med Force Enterprises, the symptoms were cured before it got too serious. A massive attempt was made to relocate Starflier Base to a system more hospitable, however the logistics of such an endeavor was too much and it lead to the Starfliers evacuating their home and enabling the clean slate protocol. All research materials have been cleaned out from the base and it has now since been left vacant.

Base Name: Starfliers Research Complex
Location: Inverness System, Foxtrot 4
Standing: Freelancer
Crew: 400
After the Starfliers' exodus from the Kepler System, the Starfliers had stored their equipment on SLRC's station in Tau-23. Once this was finalized, they had asking around Sirius to remake their base in select border and independent worlds. After some time, they had selected the Inverness system to start again and build a station to call home. This is due to the system's feeling and security being the antithesis of their former home system. Now serving as their new Headquarters, this research complex will become a smaller, more focused version of the former Starflier Base. Docking access has been restricted to only allow the Starfliers as well as their close friends Orbital Spa & Cruise who reside in the nearby Cortez system.
Their equipment stored aboard SLRC's Ikarus Station was recovered and brought back to the research complex, namely the Starfliers' signature holographic simulation suite. This will now enable the Starfliers to continue their research studies across various subjects, making sure that their testing methods and scanning frequencies are constantly adjusted to achieve the best results.

S.C.V. (System Cartography Vessel)
Civilian, Border Worlds and Edge Worlds Light Fighters
The light fighters have a specific job within the Starfliers. Primarily, they are tasked with exploring space and finding any points of interests for further study and research. Pilots utilize the navmap and plot out routes through asteroid fields, nebulae and other such areas. In some cases, they are expected to fly through radioactive sectors to see if anything is hidden within. Once the outskirts of a system are mapped and all the information is compiled, a report is then sent in to catalogue discoveries. In addition to all of this, they are asked to assist the M.R.V. fleet with flying out and gathering extra batteries for their "Augur"-Class Active Probing Scanners during research expeditions. Our S.C.V.s are equipped with "Nexus"-Class Starflier Network Beacons, building a hyperspace network for any Rift-Jump capable ship to use freely.
. . D.C.V. (Deep-Space Cargo Vessel)
"Albatross"-Class
Those of us who fly the D.C.V.s are expected to assist the pilots operating the M.R.V. fleet. In simple terms, they are to fly along and provide support to the M.R.V.s carrying extra fuel for the "Analyzer"-Class Survey Drive MK II. This means the M.R.V. can continue it's operations uninterrupted while the cargo vessel replenishes it's fuel supply. The D.C.V.s also act as standard cargo transports to allow the Starfliers to stay financially stable.
. . M.R.V. (Multi-Purpose Research Vessel)
"Corvo"-Class
Our pilots are expected to utilize the technologies installed on the M.R.V fleet to further research and study information gained from our explorers. Whether these be the Baxter-Class anomalies spread throughout Sirius, or studying the composition of the Walker Nebula, our pilots take the M.R.V.s out to distant sectors to gather deeper data about any entities we come across. Any raw data collected from researching is encouraged to be shared via reports, in the case for Scientific Data, this is up to the individual pilot's discretion. If any requests for Rift-Data are sent to us, the M.R.V. fleet is asked to assist in completing these orders.
. . R.C.V. (Rift-Leaping Capital Vessel)
"Bustard"-Class
The only Starflier Bustard to exist. This vessel has largely outdated information regarding vector entries of almost every system in Sirius. Randomly jumping from system to system is it's primary method of travel and exploration. With a surveying module, information is gathered on systems that have not been studied yet, or for convenience to revisit in the future. With enough Docking Bays to house a small squadron, these are used to transport a handful of explorers for exploratory excursions.

Yup, though be mindful that they make longer to complete. IRL stuff and such.
Thank you to everyone for the kind words and support. I'm eagerly waiting on the outcome.

This is due to the RP this faction has gained over the last 2(?) years I've developed them. Also, I believe that factions that have a certain specialty should have an ID that reflects that specialty.
