Their primary financial reward is getting cargo to destination. Because we're setting bonuses on regular cargo, there's very little reward from interdiction cargo, so the higher bounty offsets that.

So, @jammi , alternative routes are valid also, what counts is the origin and the destination ?
The event seems one-sided.
Why play the pirate terrorist who blues transports? We all know that leads to either heightened playerlist avoiding, and/or salt.
Instead, you can make ~600k per trip.
I realistically cannot see more than a handful of pirates garnering 6 kills, in order to break even by not playing the lawful side, by the end of this event.
There is no incentive to play the unlawful side, economically and socially.
Tie in the fact that the game just had an economy rework and introduced heftier moneysinks, kinda unproductive to just let the player base print money like this.
These are my first impressions and concerns about the event, and it is only the first evening. So we will have to see how it continues up until the next weekend.

I had the same concerns about Orange Gold Madness. At first, it was true. But then lawfuls assembled, organized and just began terrorizing smugglers, blocking chokepoints, camping their destination spot, Corsairs even sieged Alpha for a brief moment. Just give people time. Some just organize quicker then others, like SFoods, who have started rallying people before the event even began, so by the time it began, the convoy was ready to depart

Corsairs shouldn't be there at the first point.
Have to admit, was quite surprised when I flew into a massive shootout (as a freelancer, so I just spectated) and I saw both sides of the event AND corsairs there. what the hell did they to do there?
