Albert McKenzie, Starfliers To: Leviathan, Technocracy of Auxo Subject: ARAPSS Mk. VIII
Hello, Leviathan. I believe this is our first contact. Are your projects as fruitful as our own? Considering our joint operations on the artefact, it would lead me to believe we are making some leaps in discovery.
Indeed, if a rotational system can be achieved to redirect power from the offensive mounting points to our scanner array, it would mean eliminating our need of replenishing batteries from research sites across Sirius. You may already know, their teams are not common, mostly located in secluded spots, albeit Cambridge.
To enhance the investigation, I shall be dispatching our remaining two Deep Space Explorers, as I believe having this rotational system installed on all three vessels would significantly improve our operational ceiling.
I do believe we might've had the opportunity to speak more directly in recent weeks, what with me operating local patrols. My projects and the like typically stem from the more adaptive and militarized side of things. Weapons, armor, funky gadgets - the works.
The Corvo-Class has been a popular staple among scientists, and its modular design'll streamline any attempts at working out a new system of effective capacitors. A quick analysis of power distribution will identify key sections of the internal weapon relay network and highlight areas that are most efficient at setting up a rotating diode system. Control the flow of energy, set up a series of modified capacitors on the backend that can store and feed a steady supply of reserve energy into the network.
Way I figure it off the top of my head, is you can either reprogram some existing spares or the hardpoints themselves to function as those storage caps, or design a new model to fit the bill. Personally I'd recommend the latter approach to maximize your energy output efficiency, but that's not to say trying to work with what you have won't yield equally promising results. From there it's a matter of programming the redistribution of power from the reactor and testing for any overloads, and you've got yourself a scanner powered entirely on the back of your integrated weapons power network.
I'd recommend doing these tests in the bay and with your engines off-line to avoid a critical overload.
I look forward to seeing the results of our continued cooperation.
Albert McKenzie, Starfliers To: Leadership, Technocracy of Auxo Subject: Information Security
Hello, Auxesia.
I have had a conversation with a couple from your organization some time ago regarding our Observatory project. To have a dedicated vessel that can carry sensitive information back home instead of relying on wireless data transmission. To ensure data security.
We are taking your advice, looking at transport ships that outclass our current fleet. Why I reach out today is due to one of our own, Halpert Kennedy. He has a piece of equipment that can visually suppress his ship. You may have more information on this subject. My hypothesis is that a single transport with some form of cloaking technology would indeed be best for mobile data security. I am not sure how such a device can be obtained.
Would this be the best way forward? Escort would be appreciated, but relies on the availability of assets and pilots.
A cloaking device is more or less the prevailing solution for matters of discretion, and that applies equally to courier work. If your priority is security, then a cloaking device will keep your transport very safe. This would come at the expense of speed, of course, as the cloaking device is less efficient at full burn--but, I assume that speed isn't your priority under these circumstances.
We can put a cloaking device into the queue for manufacturing if you would like, for a small fee. Unfortunately, it may be some time until it's completed. I trust that this won't be a problem.
Apart from this, there's another matter that I'd like your help with. One of our projects is in need of 3,000 units of Ablative Armor Plating. Normally we would source all commodities using our dedicated logistics ships, but with regards to this particular material, the only open manufacturing centers in Sirius that retail such advanced armor plating are owned by major House corporations.
This is where you come in. I am prepared to offer you a competitive price if you're willing to ship these armor plates to Valravn Citadel. For a load of 3,000 units, I will offer you 465,000 credits--155 credits per unit, equivalent to what the Order would pay you on Fort Carthage. You would be paid upon proof of receipt.
Please let me know as soon as possible if you and your organization are able to do this. I'll be waiting.
Albert McKenzie, Starfliers To: Crucible, Technocracy of Auxo Subject: Shipment
Hello, Crucible.
Then my hypothesis is correct, you have experience in these matters, from what I hear in your voice. A single device is all we are after. Introducing multiple of these would result in a large amount of upkeep for maintenance and financial strain.
In regards to the Armor Plating, we are more than capable of picking some up. It will look like any ordinary pickup from an unaffiliated transport. You should see this delivery made within the week. Your payment would surely boost our vault's current balance. We may need it when it comes to purchasing these new transports.
Mr. McKenzie, thank you for your prompt service. I can confirm receipt of the delivery aboard Valravn, and the funds promised to you have been transferred.
As far as the cloaking device is concerned, I don't fully know what materials will be necessary for its manufacture. I defer you to Leviathan or Revenant in this regard.
Albert McKenzie, Starfliers To: Leadership, Technocracy of Auxo Subject: Mothballing our Bustard
Hello, Auxesia.
I'd like to request the use of your drydock upon Valravn. Our Bustard has seen less and less use over the last couple years, and we do not have an appropriate storage location for such a ship. Despite it's ease to maintain, having it moored on our Research Complex introduces other problems for us.
Is it at all possible to mothball the Velorum at the Citadel? If there are any requirements to meet to make it happen, I am sure we can fulfill them.
Of course, we do not take issue with such, but due to the high crowding problem of several vessels requiring to utilise the bay, we will require an upfront payment, as well as documentation of what work you specifically wish to undertake - along with the estimated time of completion.
In order to give the highest priority to your commissioned task, we only ask of a docking fee of 1,000,000. I apologise for any inconvenience posed with this. There's quite a few on-going projects, where postponing them will cost us dearly.
Albert McKenzie, Starfliers To: Navarch Valentine, Technocracy of Auxo Subject: New Task
Hello, Navarch Valentine.
We have had spontaneous update regarding the Velorum. The vessel no longer needs to be mothballed, we have plans to relocate it to the Cologne system. We are leaning into the racing circuit in the sector, allowing our Bustard to house our racers for transport and storage.
No work needs to be done on our Bustard, it was more for storage until it was next needed. However since your concern includes overcrowding, you will find that the vacancy of the Velorum will makes things much easier for your drydock.
